I have been using express maid for almost 6 months and have had two cleaners. I actually wouldn't recommend this place. Overall, there tends to be a language barrier with the cleaning ladies. they mostly speak spanish and i was unable to communicate. In addition, the ladies will always try to leave early without finishing the job. I don't want to stick around. That is the whole point of getting a cleaner, so you can do other stuff. The first, Monica, did a great job the first two cleanings, but then quality kept coming down. every time, she did a poorer job. one day i came home and the floor wasn't mopped and the rug and couches covered in dog hair and i fired her. Loretta was the second cleaning lady. same story, i couldn't communicate with her. she did a good job a few times, but then she kept leaving an hour early. I caught her once, warned her, the second time i gave it to her in writing, and called gary the scheduler and made a big fuss. The third time was last saturday and i fired her. This was within a short time period. She made it clear that if I leave the house, she willl try to leave early regardless of the number of complaints i've left.

I left a message to Gary and told him that i felt shorted and that i was firing loretta. I have made these complaints too many times and they are being blatantly ignored. after all, if you pay someone for three hours, they should stay three...not consistently two.

Gary hasn't called back which isn't surprising.



So unless you can stick around for the cleaning, i wouldn't hire this company.

I called them to clean the apartment I was moving into. The job was really small (a small kitchen, bathroom, and hallway), probably 2 hours of work by a normal person). The guy on the phone said they charge 16 an hour, plus 10 dollar fee for their materials. The woman charged me 78 dollars before doing anything. That's basically 8 hours of work plus the material fee.... Yeah, don't bother with these people...
