I came into Valvoline Antioch, IL and requested an oil change and tire rotation. They advised me that I did not need a tire rotation because my tires look evenly worn, this is because I rotate them. They would not rotate the tires, but said they would check my air pressure. My vehicle is rated to have 35 PSI, my tires are rated at 44 PSI. I always keep them at 40. They lowered my pressure to 30 PSI, needless to say I had to put air in all four tires. Because of this I decided to check my oil, to find that my oil did not reach the fill marker on the dip stick. I had to put in a quart of oil for it to register to the center of the fill marker. My oil plug and area around it was full of oil and leaked enough to stain my garage floor. I also was talked into having my transfer case oil changed. This was my error as I knew I had just done this, but they were very pushy about how I needed it done. My mechanic was very mad and stated I did not need to do that, even when I was being checked out the guy at the register said I did not need it either.
My work was all done late on a Friday, when I noticed my low tires it was Sunday and too late to take back in. I called the manager Gary on Monday morning and took my vehicle in on Monday after work to talk with Judy. They claimed that: The tire pressure was just an error. My oil was over full. This is BS, I know how to check oil and did not appreciate the insult. They cleaned around the oil pug but would say nothing, my guess was it was loose. And they claimed my transfer case oil was fine.
I was offered a $20 gift card for a future visit. I told them I will never be back and asked for a refund on part of the $120 I paid them, they refused.
Your vehicle costs too much and is too important to let these idiots screw it up for you!!!!

They were extremely helpful and always take a look at all of the car and let me know what is up. one of the workers told me that there were parts at napa that I could get for cheaper and then have them install it. I have put my trust in them with multiple cars and I have never left unsatisfied.

drive past this place.

through my many experiences with the Antioch valvoline, i have very few good ones to talk about. these guys are pirates. The last visit they told me my front diff was low, and of course insisted i get it topped off to the tune of sixty dollars so i refused and crawled under my car to check. so godly force on this earth could remove that plug from my diff. these monkeys didn't even touch it. they were trying to pull one over on me after i refused filters, bulbs and the thousand other things they said was wrong. so after that i replaced my filter, and theres a screw missing, and my rear diff plug is all rounded out. they also hit me up for some fluid charge on the oil saying it was 7 quarts. good job boys, you lost another customer.

another instance, i had a previous vehicle here, and it was low on fluid. the guy tried selling me used boat coolant from his boats at a discount under the table thing. i don't know about you, but i don't want used fluids, no matter what the discount. the guy just wouldn't give up either, took several no's to get the point across. haven't seen him there recently however.

and finally my lexus, which has been pampered for it's entire life, they did there filter spiel they always do, and popped the hose behind the filter housing off, triggering the engine and vsc light a few days later. tried to hit me up with a fluid change at 120-200 dollars, which the fluid checked well past -60 at home, and then proceeded to tell me the rest of the vehicle was to far gone to service. this thing has never gone more then 3 days without a problem being fixed. it's immaculate.

don't let these bozos monkey your ride.
