I had laminate and carpet installed in my new house. The carpet is nice, the laminate is decent. The issue comes from the fact that they over-charged my account twice. The first transaction there was an over-charge of $899.00 and then they told me that they would refund that amount. Instead they withdrew another $899.00. I called customer service so many times to get this resolved and no one seemed to care that there was a total amount of $1798.00 removed from my account. I could never talk to someone directly and locally, instead corporate national customer service kept talking to my and saying that they would leave messages for the appropriate people. I would never recommend this company to anyone, ever.

i called empire because of the "next day service" and the 45 years in business (silly me thought that meant good business practices!). 3.5 weeks later we have a horrible installation job, they broke door frames, created large gaps in the floor, chipped off paint we had just applied and the floor isn't even level; the frames were unfinished, they broke our toilet tank lid and management and customer service seem to think this is all ok. enough so that they are rude and very short tempered with us to the point of bullying. we give up. they won't start the job till they have payment in full and i guess they feel like they have their $$ so don't need to care about the customers or the quality or their work.

I was a little skeptical as the commercial seems pretty hokey, but did call and ask for an estimate after I had already gotten estimates from other businesses. Loved the flooring samples, and really enjoyed talking to someone with flooring experience. They were able to install right away. The price was reasonable, the flooring was quality, and the workers were decent people that were timely, hard working and experienced. I would recommend to anyone needing flooring.
