We won't be coming back by MontanaMexican - 10/18/2008Being Mexican, I find it very difficult to find good Mexican food in this country. My wife and I decided to try El Cazador for dinner and we were very disappointed. The food was bad and the service was rude.
I ordered horchata water to start but it was watered down and had very little flavor.
Then my wife and I ordered dinner. My wife's tacos came as taco bell style shells with flavorless beef filling. Honestly the lettuce had more flavor than the beef. We ordered tacos in a restaurant claiming to serve Mexican food expecting Mexican tacos...not Tex-Mex.
We complained to our waitress and she said that my wife could not read the menu and that was the reason the food was not good. Then the waitress told us she had not had other complaints about the food. How many complaints does she need before the restaurant believes the food doesn't taste right that night?
If you're considering going to El Cazador... we don't recommend it! There are better options in town!
Great Food by mninmt - 09/10/2007I have eaten at the location downtown 3 times since moving to Missoula. It is very good Mexican food served very hot and fresh. The waitress'/waiters have been very friendly and willing to recommend dishes on the menu. The service is wonderful, never waiting for refills on drinks etc. You are not a forgotten diner here. Worth a walk to get to and the wait to get in if they are full.
