Flat rate quoted in a verbal contract, but a couple of bills later went over 50% & job unchanged

I was quoted a flat rate verbally. Later, I received a bill and tried to contact the lawyer that I originally made the verbal commitment. I contacted by phone several times to get the attorney that I had the agreement with. Their paralegal told me verbally that the bill was the current charges. I thought this was a mistake & thought that I needed to talk with the attorney that was hard to reach. Later, the attorney tells me that there was more work than he thought .Mr. Edwards’ idea for my situation did not work.In the end, I hired the highly recommended attorney, Brian G. Hipperson to review the final papers for my situation that was a part of the original work details for Mr. Edwards.
