At your first visit, Dr.Shor will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your mouth which includes: Oral cancer screening, examination of your masticatory muscles and jaw joint and a thorough examination of your teeth and gums. Necessary radiographs will also be taken at this appointment. We also use digital photographs to help us in diagnosis, treatment planning and communication.
Depending on the condition of your teeth and gums, you may also have your teeth cleaned at the same appointment subject to hygienist availability. Our hygienist is very skilled at providing pain-free cleanings and for this she receives compliments from our patients all the time. In fact some of our patients tell us they took a power nap through the procedure. Following this appointment, we will sit down with you and review our findings, discuss treatment plan options and address any concerns/questions you may have.
