Great doctors but terrible office!
by Estelle M , 10/30/2015
When a patient is sent to a specialist they are already upset and nervous about what is going on with their health. The doctors are very friendly and try to make the patients feel more at ease but the receptionists and nurses are cold and very unprofessional. Even if you leave a detailed message that you are having major issues don't expect a quick phone call back. Some of the receptionists give patients a hard time about making appointments and are snippy on the phone and talk down to the patients. As many bad reviews this practice has received ONLY about their nurses and staff one would think that they would address this issue or hire more caring, professional people which represents their practice. In short, the office is running away patients and if it wasn't for the patients none of you would have jobs.

It is a shame that there are great doctors that work there, but very poor staff. They are rude, don't call people back in a timely manner. I mean when you leave 4-5 messages and still get no call back that is terrible especially when someone is having surgery by a doctor there. You would think that the nurse or the surgery coordinator would call that person back to get information that is needed. Once that is over I will be telling them to go somewhere else and its a shame that the doctor they are seeing is good but the nurse and coordinator are CRAP!!!!!!
Go somewhere else

Terrible. My father ended up in icu because of the lack of proper treatment and he has never been the same.

My experiences with all the staff and doctors have been excellent. All were very caring and professional. I had prostate cancer surgery with wonderful results. All the cancer was removed with the surgery and I did not need any radiation or other treatments afterwards. I highly recommend Eastern Urology to anyone.
Zero Stars!!! This place is horrible:(

When it comes to healthcare there are plenty of providers to choose from. The front office staff at this practice should keep that in mind that their jobs depend on patients and each patient encounter should reflect that attitude. I would drive to Raleigh to see a Urologist if Eastern Urology was my only option in Greenville. De-humanizing, unprofessional, terrible receptionists are employed here!!!

This practice provided very good service to me (Mar '12). My prostate ultrasound was performed well, was explained throughly to me ahead of time, and when biopsies were done, I was warned ahead of time. The attending physician had an excellent 'bedside manner'. Ten months later (Jan '13) I needed to see someone immediately about proper medications prior to a surgery for a non-urological issue. I saw someone the next day. When I had an question about billing I received excellent information.
Lackadaiscal Attitudes, Money hungry mongers

Front office is irresponsible, non caring, business office should be named "Who Cares Office" Dr.s don't return phone calls because its against procedure according to the office manager. Apparently they love insurance because they will not see you without it, not matter what the emergency. They also tend to "lose" appointments, even though you have a copy of the appt, and the nurse swears you have one because she was standing there, the appt just disappears from the computer and no amout of arguing will help.
Only game in town

It's ashame that this is the only place to go in Greenville when you need to be seen for prostate problems. I can't get over the doctor and the nurse referring to my loved one as nervious nellie right in front of me not once but three times. I'd be nervious to if I was waiting to find out if I had cancer. The biopsy was an hour and a half late so the meds to relax and for pain were worn off. Rescheduling didn't seem to be an option although it was asked for. The painful procedure was quick as promised but what good was that numbing shot when it wasn't given anytime to take affect? I advise that nobody go here late on a friday afternoon. We were told to clean up ourselves. All that blood, has anybody heard of OSHA? This after even asking the nurse to stay because of other health problems that might cause the patient to be in danger of heart or breathing issuses. We were on our own. With lights out and everyone seemingly gone we find our way by ourselves to the front of the building aft
