East Maryland Animal Hospital of Phoenix, AZ 85012 is a small animal pet veterinary hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinarian care throughout the life of your dog, cat or other pet. Our services and vet facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete veterinary medical and pet surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. Our experienced veterinary staff stands ready to serve the small animal pets in Phoenix, their owners and our Phoenix community.

East Maryland offers a full veterinary laboratory, pet surgery, a pet pharmacy, with emphasis on heartworm and tick - flea control. We are currently recommending dog virus vaccinations and senior pet wellness programs. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. We provide behavioral counseling for unruly pets and boarding kennels for our small animal pet clients.
Our East Maryland vet facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised treatment area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialty practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.

At East Maryland Animal Hospital, we offer both dog and cat boarding services for our clients. We know that your pet is part of your family, so you can be assured they are well taken care of when they stay with us. Our feline guests stay in a separate cat ward away from barking dogs. Our canine guests stay in one of three large wards, with smaller dogs separated in their own private ward. All dogs are walked at least three times daily and are provided bedding, water, and a high quality food. You can choose to have extra walks if you feel your pet needs them. Our outdoor walking area has a complete misting system to help keep your pet cool during the Arizona summer heat. Our indoor kennels are climate controlled, to keep your pet comfortable at all times. You may bring your own food, however we recommend not bringing a lot of toys since they can sometimes get caught up in our drain and plumbing systems.

One of the primary benefits of boarding in our hospital facility is knowing our trained kennel staff will alert a vet technician or veterinary doctor if any medical problem or concern arises. A veterinarian is always on call for the care of our boarding pets, throughout every weekend and holiday. You can also arrange to have a doctor's appointment for your pet while they are staying with us to address any new or chronic issues your pet may be having. Your pet can receive a pet bath or dog or cat toenail trim before they go home, if you choose.
