Exceptional Care by Mark - 10/12/2009I've been going to Dr. Duke since he began his practice in Sandy. I've even continued going there for all family members after moving 30 miles away. The care has been phenomenal. I have very bad teeth (soft enamel) and have had really bad experiences in the past with other dentists.I travel a lot for business. Whenever I end up seeing a dentist while out of the area, they invariably comment on how professional and exceptional the work is on my teeth.As to billing, I've never had an issue. We've always processed the bill through my insurance company and had any work pre-approved for big ticket items such as caps and root canels. So if others have had problems with their billing, I'd have to question whether the deviation from estimate was due to discrepancies with the insurance company and not Dr. Duke's office.
THEY BACK BILL YOU!!!! by Xigaz - 07/14/2008The Doctor was great with his treatment except when it came to paying. I went in 2 different days to have major work done on my teeth. I asked for a quote and she gave me an estimate and was very vague. When I received the bill they back billed me, which means that if the insurance felt they charged too much for the procedure the insurance would only allow a certain amount and you get to pay the difference (Ex: bill $2000 insurance says they allow $1500 and insurance pays half usually. So insurance pays $750 and you are stuck with $1250) This is ridiculous and this is the first doctor I have ever seen do this and this back pay was never disclosed to me. I will never go back to such a dishonest practice.
