Again we from the agency apologize for the last information posted. On the internet we cannot control who writes reports, however we can tell where they come from. That report was not from an actual customer, but aparently from other competitors. We understand the public can determine the difference ,however to be fair we have to report this.

The sales staff were great. They had all the answers and once I signed on the dotted line. It was one delay after another as to setting my home up. (Too busy they say)Once the home was set up, it wasn't to plan as agree upon. Then the problems really begin. Home wasn't set up to state code. It took me calling the state inspector to force them to fix all the problems. This took two years and still having problems with the foundation.I have a beautiful home, what I was looking for. But the setup and after sale service is the worst I have ever encounter. Stay away from them....

WE JUST MOVED INTO OUR NEW HOME. WE LOVE IT. WE HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND IT WASN'T UNTIL WE CAME TO DOWN EAST HOMES THAT WE FOUND THE PERFECT HOUSE AND THE STAFF WAS SO HELPFULL IN PUTTING A PLAN TOGETHER TO MEET OUR NEEDS. THEY ALSO ASSISTED US IN FINDING A GREAT LENDER. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFULL. THANKS FOR MAKING OUR DREAM COME TRUE.

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THESE PEOPLE MADE A MAJOR MISTAKE. THESE PEOPLE TRIED TO PURCHASE A HOME THRU DOWN EAST HOMES IN BEULAVILLE AND DOWN EAST HOMES SET THE HOUSE UP, BRICKED THE HOUSE AND COMPLETED HOUSE FOR THESE CUSTOMERS. DURING THAT TIME THESE CUSTOMERS LET THEIR CREDIT GO BAD BY MAKING LATE PAYMENTS AND BECAUSE OF THIS THE BANK WILL NOT DO THE LOAN AND THE CUSTOMER IS MAD AT US. PLEASE EVERYONE ELSE DO NOT MAKE THESE SAME MISTAKES. KEEP YOUR CREDIT GOOD THRUOUT THE HOME LOAN PROCESSING. As you can tell the top two reviews are fake because they were posted after the awful one, take our advice stay far away. There is always an excuse of why this and that is not done. For the people that are happy with their land home packages, would you be happy if you knew that home was stolen from a hard working family trying to purchase their own home. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

We just purchased a Cavalier home from Down East Homes in Beulaville. We love our house and the staff at the dealership was very professional and made our purchase a great experience. I would recommend to anyone wanting to purchase a home to see them because they can help!

We are so happy with our new home from Down East Homes. They made the loan process easy for us. The set up of the home went smoothly and we are so thankful for their knowledge and expertise. We were clueless when it came to purchasing a home and they made it so enjoyable and an easier experience for us.

This company is not ethical in the treatment of its customers. They talk a big talk but when it comes to following through on the commitment they stink. The representative lies and tells you the story you want to hear and then does not go through with the process in a timely manner. They take forever and when the contruction is not done correctly they make excuses. Do not use them or their lender. Beware.

Unfortunately all reviews are not written by customers. Some competitors try to sabotage or make reviews look bad. this has come to our attention, please disregard great before you sign on 4-17-2012

Everyone there is soo nice and helpful when they are trying to win your business. They promise the world on a platter UNTILL you sign the contract. All of the sudden Phone calls dont get returned. Then comes Delay after Delay after Delay. Extremely unprofessional staff....BUYER BEWARE

I purchased a land/home package with Down East Homes of Beulaville. I love my new house and I really liked the idea of the dealer helping us find land in an area so close to my children's school. They went the extra mile to accomadate our needs and made the whole process easy on us by keeping us informed from start to finish. I would recommend anyone wanting to purchase a home to contact them first.

I purchased a home thru Down East Homes in Beulaville a couple of months ago. I was a first time home buyer and their staff was so professional and made me feel so comfortable with my loan process. Everything I needed and wanted was met and would refer this company to all my friends and family if they were to purchase a manufactured home.

Looked at several locations. No one seemed to take me serious. The people at Down East Homes took time with me and helped me to get the home of my dreams. They took care of everything so all I did was wait to move in. Love my house and am thankful for Down East Homes

Bought a new DW from this company a few months ago. while I was looking, they would tell you what an great crew they had to set your home up and what a great job they would do for you and how quickly it could be done.After giving me a couple of deliverly dates that didn't happen, they delivered it on a rainy day and had to rush to keep it from being ruined. They did nothing they said and absolutely nothing when they said they would. There great before the money changes hands but you better have what you want done completed before that happens or you are in deep (mess). Others probably do the same but I know about this one.

Interesting to read that on 5/09/2009 someone had a similar complaint as ours. WE purchased our DW in 2008, did not receive the home we contracted for but didn't find out until too late. First management acknowledged their mistake but never took care of anything like the roof! Fought for two years to get finished work completed satisfactorily. New management refused to complete the required work. Contacted BBB and that does no good whatsoever. Contacted NC Consumer Complaints and will do so again.

WELL I BROUGHT MY HM IN 2008 FROM DOWNEAST,PLZ DNT GET ME WRONG I LOVE MY HM,BUT THE CO.DID NOT FINISH NOTHIN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO,SO NOW ANOTHER FAMILY HAS COME IN TAKEN OVER THE BUSINESS AND STILL WONT DO ANYTHING,I KNOW THEY THINK ITS OVER FOR ME BUT ITS NOT,IM GOING TO POST PICTURES OF MY FLOOR DOWN THE HALLWAY WHERE YOU ALL CAN SEE THE BAD WORK,AND THE GUY THAT DID THE WORK IM LOOKING RITE AT THIS MAN DO MY HM,AND HE SAID HE DIDNT DO IT ,ITS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THAT,YEAH RITE.BUT YES THIS WAS MY FAULT BCAUSE I WAS WRONG FOR SIGNING PAPER FIRST AND NOT WALKING THRU MY HOME WITH THEM,BUT I WAS EXCITED CAUSE IT IS A BEAUTIFUL HM,BUT I HAVE HAD 4 DIFFERENT GROUPS OF PPL HERE AND THEY ALL SAY ITS THEIR PROBLEM,NOW ITS JUST GOT TURNED OVER TO RALEIGH A FEW DAYS AGO,PPL PLZ I TELL YOU DNT SIGN NOTHIN WITH NOBODY UNTIL YOUR WORK IS (DONED) RITE ,THEY SMILE IN YOUR FACE GETTING YOUR MONEY,BUT AS SOON AS ITS OVER YOU FIND A PROBLEM NOBODY KNOWS NOTHIN...I HAVE HAD ALOT PPL LOOK

Your commitment to my satisfaction was awesome. You guys really did a great job finding a home that was suitable for my family and my pocket book. If it wasn't for you, I would still be renting.
