It's Good but kind of high for what you get. by
I am staying here for a week for business. I was placed on the 9th floor, due to my Hilton Honors which was nice. They has a lounge on this floor for light breakfasts and wine/beer and light food in the evening. The first night, Sunday , I went to the downstairs lounge for a lite dinner. I ordered a glass of house Merlot, a cup of mushroom soup and an order of brushetta. Merlot , ok...cup of Mushroom soup, lukewarm and thin like water. The brushetta was ice cold in a cup...of chopped tomates and a bunch of vinegar it was horrible ..and old ..I mean old ,cold bread. All of the lovely food for $22.. This was my second visit to the DT . Last time I had room service for breakfast...it was $26.00 for a bagel , fruit and a cup of coffee. Tonight my collegues wanted to sit down and eat and I didn't want to drive . We tried the dinning room. I had the Salmon salad..which was quite tastey. Collegues had: pasta (skip it ..she got 3 shrimp with the "added shrimp" ) , turkey club can't mess that one up, BBQ sandwich was ok. Asked for rolls as we waited, she brought some out...saying here are some fresh hot rolls. LOL . 2 waitresses and 8 tables of at least 3 maybe 4 folks ....they just coudn't keep up or follow up....all bills were over $20 for sandwiches/salads ice teas and water. Overall. my recommendation is to skip the restaurant ...lots of places to eat around the area.. My room...it's clean and smells ok. The shower is hot...and good spray. Overall I'd stay again, the front desk is nice , the mantenance man will fix it if you need it fixed , the 9th floor lounge attendants are awesome....the restaurant ...don't waste your time.
