Good Work, Not so good office staff

We recently had them come out to give us an estimate on some needed repairs. We also had a couple other companies come out and give estimates as well. In terms of price, Don Snider Roofing was fair and after reading reviews on Angie's List we decided to have them do the work. Connie from their office called to follow up with us to see if we were interested in having the work done. I let her know that we were planning on it and told her I would sign the proposal and send it back and then schedule to have the work done. The next day I received a call from someone telling me that they were on their way to do the work. I hadn't even signed the proposal and emailed it back to them yet so I told them to please wait before coming out. I signed the proposal and emailed it back to Connie. I explained that we were about to go on vacation and that we preferred to be at home when the work was done. In my email I explained that any day after 9/7/15 would be fine, to just let me know what day they would be out. I received an email response that only said "Thanks". I figured they would call after 9/7 to set up a day to do the work. On 9/8/15 at around 9:45am I received a call from one of their workers letting me know that they were on their way out to complete the work. I was a bit shocked since I had told them we wanted to have someone home when the work was done. I am lucky that I have a job that is flexible and where I can work from home when needed, but I had not planned on working from home that day and had to make quick arrangements to come home. On my way home I called the office and explained the situation to the person on the phone (not Connie). She said she had written on the invoice that the work could only be done on 9/8 which I told her was not the case. She said it was "partially her error" and asked if I wanted to have the work done another time. I told her I was already on my way home and that I didn't want to reschedule but asked why a call was not made to let me know when the work was going to be done. She didn't have an answer. I asked if they normally send people out to do work without letting the home owner know when they'll be there ahead of time and again, no answer. No apology for the last minute changes to my schedule or anything. The workers were nice enough and I know that it wasn't their problem. The only issues other than that was a bad extension cord that ended up tripping our circuit breaker so many times that it ended up affecting their saw. They ended up having to borrow our jigsaw to finish the job. They were apologetic and thankful that I had a saw for them to use. As long as the work was done correctly, I'm happy. I am not sure that I will call them again due to the disorganization in the office.
Don Snider is the only Roofer I call!

I have used Don and his crews for over 15 years. They are fast, professional and have always done great work. They clean up all debris before leaving and their pricing has always been fair.

It took them 5 trips out to my place and still have not finished the job, And now that they have been paid in full, want more money to finish the job. The say they did not quote all the repairs, they shoud send someone to quote the job, that knows what he is doing! Never use them again and will make sure the word is known around the area.
I love this Roofer. They have taken care of us for years.

We have been using Don Snider for the past 15 or so years. During the Storms most recently, the really took care of us. Pricing was always fair and their attention to detail is much appreciated by us. They have done our Roof, Siding & Gutters. All look great!
