There are quite a few catch phrases used to sell swimming pools, one that we like is this: Family Glue. In 1972 Gordon Evans hired Dolphin Pools to build his family a backyard swimming pool. The 20’ x 40’ pool with a diving board cost about $4,000 back then which was comparable in price to a brand new 1972 water-ski boat. Since the pool was finished it has been swum in thousands of times by thousands of people. And while those numbers aren’t exact, to Gordon Evans and his family that pool has been worth its weight in gold. And water is very heavy!

During the summer family parties are always at grandma’s and grandpa’s. The pool has a shaded deck around part of it from which parents and grandparents can watch their children and grandchildren enjoy their time swimming. Grandma and Grandpa Evans like to use the pool in the calm of the morning to exercise. When the pool isn’t in use it has an automatic safety cover that extends over the water to protect the kids from falling in. Every grandkid has learned how to swim in that pool. Some of them have even learned how to scuba dive there too. That pool has been a centerpiece of quality family time and it has helped keep the Evans family close over all these years.

Now, some 40 years later, Dolphin Pools still buildings beautiful backyard centerpieces. Prices are still comparable to water-ski and wake board boats – but instead of taking a boat to the water for some wholesome family recreation, we bring the water home. And we fully expect your pool to provide decades of fun for you and your loved ones. We believe it will be like glue to keep the family together while they enjoy the sun, water and each other’s company.
