Great Selection, WAAAYYYY Overpriced!
by J , 07/23/2013
I have been to both Docs Games locations several times, however I have never bought anything from there. The main reason being is that they do not even try to price 90% of their merchandise competitively, but rather price stuff at what they hope some poor sap will pay. Seriously, some of their games are prices over twice what they typically go for on Ebay, and even other local game stores have way better prices than they do. I few things I will give this store is that the employees have always been nice and helpful, and as the title of this review says, they have an awesome selection of games. If anything Docs games is like a museum where I look at games and talk about them with my friends when we go in there, but that is where the fun ends. You are much better off going to GameSource, Game Force Boulder, and Level 7 if you want a great selection, but do not want to take out a loan to buy a common game.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

RUDE STAFF AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! ONLY GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO PAY MORE FOR A GAME, AND GET LESS MONEY FOR YOUR ITEMS THAN PRETTY MUCH ANY GAME SHOP IN COLORADO.
Best place in aurora for your gaming needs

This place has everything you would need for gaming. Staff is really nice and great customer service. A ton to choose from and the games are very well priced at least most of them.
Everything I was looking for and more.

I would highly recommend docs to anyone looking for anything from vintage to new video games. The staff is highly knowledgable and extremely helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you get great customer service.
Amazing collection with extremely knowledgable staff and great prices

I came in looking for retro and foreign titles for systems such as Famicom, Neo Geo, etc. I was surprised to see the amount they had and the pricing was fair to great for it all. Also I came in not knowing exactly what game I wanted but was able to discuss the type of gaming I enjoyed most (vertical shooters, rpgs) and for what console. They found me everything I could of hoped for and more

A friend told me about this store, went to check it out and they had everything I was looking for. Bought a N64 and Smash Brothers, super happy, haven't played it in years! They have a lot of games for a bunch of different systems. Definitely worth a look if looking for older games. Thanks I'll be back!

This is a cool store. The games are fairly priced and the variety is matched by no one. They do fun tournaments from time to time so definitely a place to check out if you're into that scene. This actually used to be my favorite store and still is somewhat. It's just that the customer service has gone waaaay downhill lately and it's hard to not notice as a frequent shopper. When the store first opened Mike (the manager), went out of his way to help you out and made sure that every visit was a good experience. Now that the "ball is rolling" and money is being made every impression is given that the initial customer service was nothing but a act. You get almost nothing for trade-ins now whereas before Mike would ALWAYS hook it up if you wanted store credit. The new kids he's hiring don't know a lick about the games they're selling and are sometimes rude! (went into return a broken game i'd bought from them, guy spent awhile giving me grief like it was my fault). The most glaring proof that Mike really doesn't care anymore is that he never opens the store on time now. He's consistently an hour or two late and if that doesn't say "I don't care about my job" I don't know what does.I'm saying all this because I miss the old Docs. Remember why you got successful.
great game experience and store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I thought gamestop was the only videogame store around, but boy was I wrong. I really liked the friendly customer service, and the fact that if you're trying to trade or sell Skylander's Spyro Adventure characters; this is the place to go.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE!!!

I CALLED THEM ABOUTS SELLING A WIRELESS CONTROLLER AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD GIVE ME $15 FOR IT. I DRIVE THERE (THE KID GAVE ME THE WRONG DIRECTIONS!) AND THEY TRY AND OFFER ME $8 FOR THE CONTROLLER!! DONT QUOTE ONE PRICE AND OFFER A DIFFERENT WHEN A CUSTOMER SHOWS UP. VERY BAD BUSSINESS ETHICS. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SHOP, HELL GAMESTOP WOULD HAVE GIVIN ME $9.50 FOR THE CONTROLLER. GO THERE INSTEAD OF THIS PLACE!!!

Seriously the only place in the state of colorado with the selections that they have. The drive will be worth it
