Architectural Arts has been providing professional architecture and interior design services since 1999. In our design studio we take the necessary steps to listen and learn the uncommon desires and expectations that make each client unique.

Architectural Arts emphasizes a relaxed, personal style of communication and decision making that makes for successful projects. Our office follows a reliable phased process of design recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) so our clients will know what to expect. Often, the functions, activities and relationships asked to be included in a project can be complex, and confusing. Our response is to organize these pre-design criteria and parameters into a written Program that can be reviewed by our client for its completeness. Once our client approves the Project Program its matrix of needs and list of features will be skillfully analyzed by Jon Dewey to create an abstract bubble-diagram of space uses and space-use connections. The bubble-diagram becomes the basis for Schematic design which takes the form of simple sketches that illustrate a rough building plan and elevations. These may represent several, alternate solutions that we invite our clients to review, provide input, and direction. Once a Schematic design is approved the next step is the Design Development phase. At this time the project is drawn to scale through computer-aided-drafting and further enhanced with data from our office and outside consultants. Following approval from our client the design moves to the Construction Documents Phase where the final technical information to construct the project is incorporated.

Our architectural digest of completed projects includes new exclusive residences, a luxe motor yacht, artful commercial tenant improvements, and residential projects that include all the elements of style. Extending the life of existing buildings is paramount and we are passionate about our completed remodel and renovation works.

Historic-building preservation so important to us that we participated in forming a non-profit foundation to try to save a twelve-story, 1935 historic Hotel from demolition. We believe in extending the life of existing buildings by adapting them for new uses and updating their functions to work in a modern world. When our design studio works with a particular historic period we precisely and appropriately apply that era’s design traditions, design motifs and details.
