Negotiate is Not Fair to Other Customers
by Negotiate at the Flea Market , 02/17/2015
I am responding to some idiot who wants a store to negotiate. I will not shop at a store that does this. If a store bargains $1, what makes you think they will not give the next customer $5 off or $10 off to someone else. This is not a flea market and I would request that this customer goes to a yard sale to bargain someone down. I want a store to be fair with me and with all the other customers but when a customer wants to bargain, they need to go down to the fairgrounds flea market. Go to Belks or Macys and see if they will bargain. I am sure Dwayne's wants a stupid customer like this to go elsewhere. I would too!
Done with Dewayne's

I have been shopping at Dewayne's for many years. I am writing to warn others! Their return policy is to protect them and not their faithful customers. I tried to return an over 200.00 Christmas gift that I had purchased for my daughter and I got nothing but a store credit. I purchased it on Dec. 6th she opened it on Dec. 25th and today is Jan.5th (11 days after Christmas). The associate was very rude and continued to recite the store policy, "only a store credit after 14 days after Christmas" . When I purchased it I was told to keep my receipt and I would have no problem returning it. She failed to tell me only for a store credit. Bottom line they have their merchandise and my money!!!! I will go back only to spend the 234.00 store credit. I Would have done that today but I wasn't in the frame of mind to walk around and try and purchase something I didn't need. Besides it was wiped out after Christmas. Only stuff left nobody wants. I will spend my money in Fay. where the small businesses here appreciate their costumers and not the almighty dollar. I know that when you do right by others God will bless you. If I was Dewaynes I would rethink those store policies!
Shouldn't customers be the most important?

I have been shopping with this establishment for quite a while now, but today, that stopped. I went in to do an exchange on an item that I had gotten for myself and didn't realize when I got it home, it was broken. When I went in to do the exchange, I was told that it was over the thirty day return policy. I explained to the manager that I completely understand that it was over the thirty days but all I wanted to do was exchange the merchandise. She was so unprofessional, arguemenative, and unwilling to help with the matter, that I had to speak with her superior. Let me give you some advice. The customers always come first. If this is what DeWayne's customer satification is, then I can do with them.
Great All-around Shopping

I would like to thank the staff at Dewaynes for always taking care of me when I call! I appreciate having such a nice store to shop! Here I can find my clothes, my shoes, my plants, and any gifts I need! I am especially thankful that they will pull items that I need and have them ready when I get there! Thanks Tina and Dewayne!
Never going back

My wife wanted a nice Vera Bradley purse along with a wallet. The total would have been well over $100. Which I was fine with. I asked if they would take off a few dollars since they didnt have the exact product we were looking for. After looking online, Vera Bradley's website actually sold much cheaper than DeWaynes. He would not even budge $3 when asked about a discount. Seriously, $3. Business must be good and the economy must not be effecting DeWayne's. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. There are people out there that do need business and are willing to negotiate a little! Thanks Dewayne!
