These kind, wonderful people helped us out with our beloved dog in an emergency. I hope I can ever do as much kindness for them in this life.

I dog sit ofr a friend. Her dog had surgery in June of 12. It is now Nov. and the dog's lesions have not healed. The doctor was suppose to refer to a specialist and phone with details. No response and calls were answered with the doctor is busy but will get back to you. This did not happen. Now I am trying to get another vet to treat the dog but he needs the surgical records. After 3 attempts by them -" the doctor is busy but will respond " I have taken him to the new vet but without information, he does not know what other treatment to try. I called and the receptionist hung up on me when I said that I would call the veterinary complaint board if they did not get these records sent. Meanwhile the dog is in need of treatment. I suggest you find a more sympathetic vet

I had called asking about boarding and the woman who answered the phone was VERY rude and rushed to get off the phone. I had been there before for vaccinations for my pets and they all were nice, as of know i will not be going there because of how rude i was spoken to on the phone.

I raise and show Labrador Retrievers and have been with Dr. O'Rouke and her clinic for the past 7 years. I have had many regular and emergency visits over the years and have always found the doctor and her staff to be caring, compassionate, and very helpful with my dogs and cats. They have laughed and cried with me over the years through births, deaths and every day occurrences. Dr. O'Rourke has always been willing to help me research new medical procedures and is always willing to talk to me about any issues I may have with my gang. Dr. O'Rourke has also been willing to work with me on flexible payments in times of need. I have confidence and trust in Dr. O'Rourke - enough that she has one of the babies I bred!

I have been working for Dr. O'Rourke for approximately 8 weeks. I have worked for numerous veterinarians over 20 years and I find her to be one of the most compassionate Drs. that I have had the pleasure to work with. She is very animal rights orientated and the compassion she shows her patients as well as her clients is extremely inspiring. She involves herself in all aspects of care for each patient that she sees, from exams to preperations prior to surgeries. She is very informed and I feel very secure, knowing my own pets health benefit from her knowledge and expertice.I find the staff to be extremely personable, friendly and compassionate.

I took my dog here and found it to be a nice, friendly place. The staff was friendly and the doctor answered all my questions and gave me the time I needed to discuss the needs of my dog. The fees were reasonable and would recommend this facility to anyone needing vet care.

Desert Dove Hospital is one of the worst vet clinics Ive ever been too, the Dr is all about "herself and money" while she drives a benz and lets the clinic go to waste with all that mold, when i make an appt for 1:30 and don't get seen until 2:20 there's something wrong with her time management. She also rushes through her appts, i paid to talk to her for a half hour and she says shes in a hurry? what about my time? waiting for that long? Overall her mind is just on money and that's it. I will never be taking my animals to her again. As for the staff they are great they seem to care.

My relationship with Desert Dove veterinary Hospital began 6 years ago. I liked Dr. O'rourke. My pets liked Dr. O'rourke (3 dogs, 1 cat). However, she uses her staf members to communicate when I feel she should be taking the time to talk to me herself. She's busy? That's great! I PAID for her expertise and would appreciate receiving it FIRSTHAND. Additionally, there have been a few members of of her staff who seem a little bored and disinterested when I call with a question regarding one of my pets who suffers with a long term illness. There are 2 staff members in particular who don't seem to be able to seperate "real world" from thier ideals and have come across as being a bit sanctimonious when discussing my animals and thier health care. Other staff members have been fabulous. The bottom line is that while Dr. O'rourke is a somewhat decent practitioner, I will be moving my pets to another Veterinary practice. We deserve better than what we've received.

Very helpful and well trained staff, highly recommended.
