Dr Jacob Schor is a naturopathic physician, a specialist in using natural medicine for health care. He uses vitamins, herbs, diet, homeopathy and other natural therapies to help his patients recover and maintain their health.
Naturopathic Oncology:
Naturopathic oncology is his area of expertise in the naturopathic field. He is a board member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (www.Oncanp.org). He is currently president of the association. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO), a status that is earned through both meeting requirements of experience and passing board examinations.
Dr Schor offers complementary care to patients undergoing conventional cancer care and alternative care to the patients for whom medical oncologists have run out of options.
Medical and scientific researchers are every day bringing new information out on ways to fight cancer and improve health. Combining this new knowledge with standard medical treatments improve outcomes, increasing the chances that whatever treatment a patient is undergoing will be successful.
Whether it's vitamin D, turmeric, green tea or chocolate, if it might help the cause, Dr Schor will understand and be able to explain the latest science to help you make decisions.
Author:
Dr Schor writes extensively on matters related to natural healthcare. He is the oncology editor for the Naturopathic Doctors News and Review (www.NDNR.com) and an associate editor for the Natural Medicine Journal (www.NaturalMedicineJournal.com). He is co-author of Oncanp's Research Review for members of the association. Past articles he has written can be found on either website.
Experience:
Because Colorado does not yet license the practice of naturopathic medicine, Dr Schor maintains an active license in Oregon as naturopathic physician and has done so since 1991.
Dr Schor is a past president of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Physicians, a current delegate to the House of Delegates of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is currently co-chair of the committee that selects speakers for the profession's national continuing education conference.
