Opened in 1959, DeMille Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. It offers academic instruction in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school offers an after-school tutoring program and homework assistance. DeMille Elementary School offers the Conflict Managers program, which teaches children to help each other and solve problems. Its extracurricular activities include jog-a-thon and student council. The school s library is stocked with numerous titles and a large collection of video and audio tapes. DeMille Elementary School has a computer tech center that is equipped with personal computers, speakers, microphones, printers, digital cameras, scanners and instructional videos. It is located in Midway City, Calif., and is a part of the Westminster School District.
