Welcome to Deerfield Montessori Schools!

We want your child to experience the Montessori way of learning. We have four locations throughout the Deerfield, IL area to serve you best. Our first location, The Deerfield Montessori School, was founded in 1966 as a non-for-profit school. The Riverwoods Montessori School was started in 1986, followed by a second Deerfield location, the Deerfield Montessori Children’s House. Our fourth school, the Glenview Montessori School, opened in 1991. Our school philosophy is to be here as an "assistant to life" for your child. This is based off the founding principles of Dr. Maria Montessori.

In a Montessori environment, your child will thrive along with trained teachers certified by the American Montessori Society and the Association Montessori International. We allow your child to take charge of their own environment to develop skills of independence and creativity. Your child will also build teamwork and leadership skills with our multi-age classroom structure. From making crafts to hiking on a nature trail, your child will learn in an open environment while having a good time, too!
