leave the state? by blurred my vision - 04/06/2011I was able to have a quick consultation with Mr. McDermott. I exlplained to him i work a full time job and was blindsided by my ex,who dosen't work, with court proceedings which she had already started. Mr. McDermott was early on the cout date and discussed with me much better ways of communication between my ex and i,better transportation alternatives for visitation of our children, and he also restricted my ex from moving too far by putting a maxium radius from my residence.I had a great experience with Mr. McDermott, and I will refer anyone of my family or friends to him.
DO NOT CALL!! by JS - 11/01/2010If you are hoping for amicable divorce, do not call this man! He will do everything in his power to make sure the two being divorced are enemies before he is done. He will invent lies to turn you against each other. He will stroll into court late as if he is above everyone else. He is one of the most, make that THE most arrogant man I have ever met. He thrives on the problems of others, exaggerating them rather than trying to work with you. It's al about Dave McDermott and nothing about the people he is paid to help.
charges for work not done by mcdermottlostagain - 11/01/2010I hired them in aug of 09 for my divorce case. As of oct 10 I still have no inforcable child support order and no income due to not being able to afford child care. They charge you for going to court and filing orders when they never even showed up, they make you come in and waste 2 hours of your day to explain things that you sent over in writing yet they never return the other lawyers calls nor my own and have sent nothing to the other attorney concerning my changes to the settlement agreement. I gave them 5000 that they burned threw doing nothing and now say I owe another 5000 for the nothing they have done but wasted my time. I have lost my house b/c of their non action and now my case is set on pre trial. I have heard nothing from them everything I know about my case I found on the internet. When the settlement papers came to them they never even sent them to me untill my soon to be ex said he sent them 3 weeks prior and was wondering why they never heard anything. Well its

I hired him to represent me He showed up which I was surprised considering though He did take my money and to add to this He was late !!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't go there by theysuckdonkeyballs - 11/17/2009I hired this firm in August 2009 for my divorce. They never filed my petition for divorce and then when I was served divorce papers from my husband they never filed my appearance or response. They say the problem was it was filed in the wrong district but they had a month and a half to get it changed to the right district and never did. Then in dire need I filed a petition for emergancy child support and maintance payments and they filed it half assed and then my lawyer didn't even bother showing up for court. I filed my own paperwork myself since my case was in default and my husband could have gotten everything he petitioned for if he would have bothered to show up for court. My case is damaged beyond belief. They feed you lies and more lies, don't trust them to do anything for you.
