Derek was able to detect the issues I was having with my washer and suggested in getting a surge protector for all my appliances to help eliminate any major problems in the near future. He was able to provide great tips to ensure longevity in my appliances. I would recommend and use again for diagnosing and repairing any applaince related problems.

DONT DONT DONT use this place! i am so sick of getting the "run-around" from derek!! derek and d1 are nothing like his voice-mail says. our washer is broke - i called derek and left a voice-mail...the next day he calls back and we made an appointment for him to come look at washer. my husband took off work for the time slot he was supposed to come....derek never showed up and we got no call saying something "came up"!!!! i called him and left, yet, another voice-mail, to see what was going on. he has excuse, after excuse of why he didn't call back or why no one showed up to look at broken washer (after we had to take off work to meet the repair person). someone finally came out a few days later...and then said part would be in 7-10 business days...on the 10th business day i called derek and of course...he did not answer. needless to say...i have already paid derek for the parts/repair...my check has been cashed otherwise i would have fired him! we have, now, invested a lot of $ at the laundry mat...so much that we could have saved all of that to pay for a new washer instead of wasting money on derek. please think TWICE before using this "repair place"!!! bottom line...our washer is still broke...ive asked for the refund (since my check was cashed and there is no ETA on when the part will be here) and i will go find a new appliance person...but derek told me no i could not have a refund and was laughing at me. he was very disrespectful, condescending, dishonest and over all very unprofessional.

I was referred by my sister whom derek work on her dryer and was fully satisfied. had Derek out to fix m oven and i would definitely refer to friends and family as well.
Way over priced by
Derek came out to look at my dryer. Told me there would be a $60.00 service call but if I had him fix the dryer the 60.00 would be waived. He fixed the thermal fuse on my dryer was in my house less than 10 minutes and charged me $195.00. Three weeks later my sister has the same problem called in a repair man for Lansing Illinois and was charged a total of $75.00. I called Derek to ask why I was charged so much. (Found out the part itself was on $10.00 so he charged me $185.00 for less than 5 minutes of labor) Derek to,d me I am paying for his years of experience and then told me that the part was only $3.00. So I wAs charged $192.00 for five minutes of labor. I told him I feel charging me $120.00 more was I felt excessive. He said read your invoice and then hung up on me while I was speaking. Rude over priced very arrogant person! DO NOT USE!!!!!! Btw I reported him to BBB as have others!

Derek was called by my wife on Thursday, 6/13/13 following the storm the night before to obtain a repair price for our refrrigerator, which quit working after the storm. He said that he checked the refrigerator and the evaporator fan motor was grounded. He then said that he would be back on Friday between 8 AM and Noon. Finally showed up at 4:00 PM,changed the fan motor and guess what? The fan motor was fine, he mis-diagnosed the problem and said he had to get a "mother board". He said he would be back Saturday morning to install it..................never came or called.I called him on Saturday night leaving a message of course that he could have at least called to let us know he was not coming.He called my wife Monday morning and blames the problem on the parts store, likely story. Now he wants to come back Wednesday. I then called him demanding a refund which he refused. I wish I would have got to the bank to put a stop payment on the check but the "honest" technician cashed it on Friday.He has kept our money, refused a refund and our refrigerator still is not working.We have come to find out there is no such part as a mother board on this refrigerator.You better call the better Business bureau before using this guy because he is a poor, poor businessman and an incompetent repairman.

I called Derek and left a voicemail that I had an LG gas dryer that was tumbling but not heating and a Fridgidaire refrigerator lever that needed replaced on the water dispenser. He comes out the next day and says he doesnt work on LG appliances, then says the cost for replacing the lever on the fridge will be $247 (in addition to the $60 trip cost which equates to 20% of the total cost of the new fridge....AFFORDABLE??? yeah right) My wife calls me at work and gives me the news. I say no way Im paying $247 for a piece of plastic so the I tell her to get him out of my house. Guess what?? He was there 10 minutes charges me the $60 (HONEST???? not hardly, he never told me on the phone that he doesnt work on LG appliances). The problem I have is that I was told by Grants appliances that this guy worked on both LG and Fridgidaire appliances. So Im out $60 for 10 minutes of his time and still have broken appliances. This guy is at best a rip off. Judging by some of the other reviews, I would say stay away. Hes not worth your money or time. FAST??? Yep, he made $60 for 10 minutes of work, that equates to $360 per hour. Thats fast money for ya. For what its worth.
