Very respected contractor in Southwest Florida
by Charles Nader , 06/17/2013
CT Fire Protection, Inc is a complete fire sprinkler contractor that can do all phases of work in the fire protection business. We are fully insured and licensed to work in the entire State of Florida. The business owner that posted he only gave half the story. The other half of the story was that he was advised that when we included the underground to the proposal that the proposal would be all inclusive. When someone asks to have additional work added to the project we take that into consideration and the original work can be discounted which is what we did in this case. We met with the owner on multible occassions about the underground protion of the job along with meetings with the civil engineer and the City of Cape Coral to help prevent the owner from getting any surprise bills from the City as can be the case when you are connecting to their water lines. As a matter of fact we did uncover a surprise expense that the owner would have been lialible for. During the meeting that we were at with the owner and the City of Cape Coral the City advised the owner that they could do the underground portion of the project. The owner made a deal with them and then came back to us and asked us to do the project and deduct to underground from the job. We had not received any money from the owner and we felt that we did alot of work preparing this project to go smooth without any surprises in time or cost to be told that we were now only going to do half the job. We had these meetings on the verbal agreement that we were doing the whole project. This owner told us that the reason it wasn't so simple to get a different contractor was because we were 20K lower that the next private contactor. CT Fire Protection, Inc was trying to do the do diligence to protect the customer and inturn introduced him to the City who ended up taking the project from us.

Initially this company never bid the underground portion of my job. Then I asked them to bid that too, so they did. I then chose to just have them do the alarm monitoring and installation of the sprinkler system only. They rescinded their bid because I chose to save $10,000 and have the underground done by someone else. The owner of the company did not even have a valid city license, thought he could do the underground in a manner that the city would not allow and also thought the civil engineer filed for permitting....all incorrect. Incompetent. Pathetic. Obviously this is why there price was so competitive.
