Adventure Clubs - Before and after school child care located at many elementary schools.

Description

Creative Play Centers intend to ensure the Colorado Springs community with quality, comprehensive child care and preschool education. Each child will receive attention and stimulation which is consistent with holistic and caring approaches for nurturing child growth and development. To accomplish this end, Creative Play Centers' curricular program has been organized thematically to incorporate outdoor play, fine and gross motor skill activities, appropriate nourishment, arts and crafts activities, rest and quiet periods, and social interaction.
Creative Play Centers encourages children to be industrious, free thinking, curious, smart, respectful, unique, creative, positive in attitude, loving, polite, well-rounded, gifted, bouncy, independent, fantastic, outgoing, happy, energetic, talented, helpful, interesting and more.

Program has been organized thematically to incorporate outdoor play, fine and gross motor skill activities, appropriate nourishment, arts and crafts activities, hobbies, sports, rest/quiet periods, homework time and social interaction.

Hours of operation Monday - Friday - 6:30 am to 6:00 pm
Snow days - One location open for necessary care

Preschool 2 1/2 & potty trained - 5 yrs
Creative Play Village Seven location

Preschool 3-5 yrs & potty trained
Chipeta Preschool location

Before & after school child care grades K through 5th

Locations: Free standing center and Adventure Clubs at many elementary schools making transportation to and from school unnecessary.

Staff: All employees are first aid, CPR, medication, child abuse prevention, health and safety and universal precautions.
All employees are given background checks including central registry reports and Colorado Bureau of Investigation CBI fingerprint checks.
All employees are required to attend continuing education programs.
All teachers, directors and staff must meet Colorado Department of Human Services Childcare Licensing Division criteria.

Activities: Interest center set up and projects, activities, sports, games, music, dance, drama, drawing, writing, science, math and hobbies for intentional learning through play. School out days enrichment programs include field trips, visitors and special events specially designed for each individual site. Time is provided for homework. Children are also encouraged to participate in hands-on science projects, imaginative art, board games, team building activities and healthy competition with opportunities for solitude and relationship building activities as well as active play in the gymnasium or on-site playgrounds.

Summer programs:
Creative Play Centers offers a wide variety of field trips and activities to enhance your child's summer vacation. Many activities, such as swimming are scheduled weekly.
