We have trusted Creative Kids Academy (Minnetonka) with caring for our daughter since she was an infant, and she is now in the Preschool 2 room. We like the overall structure at CKA. When our daughter was in the infant room, they took care not to waste the breast milk we brought in, while still adhering to (state?) requirements regarding refrigeration and warming. When in the toddler room, we did see a lot of staff turnover, but after speaking with other parents I hear that this is not uncommon. The turnover we've seen at the site it the only reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5-star. The staff did a great job of working on potty training. Our daughter is learning a lot in the preschool room (writing letters and numbers, learning about nature, etc.), and we love that they occasionally do yoga and go outside twice a day. The play area is great, with a paved area for tricycles and "cars" separated from the playground equipment. Parents are allowed to bring in their own milk (soy/rice/etc.) and food although the center does provide dairy milk and well-balanced meals. Overall, the quality care at CKA combined with the affordability relative to other centers makes it a winner.
