WORST experience with Courtney Landscape and Pools

I had the WORST experience with Courtney Landscape and Pools building my pool. They started the job on time but didnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt pull the Clark County Construction permits before starting. I finally had to ask where the permits were after excavation and the plumbing was being installed. Throughout the build, several days would go by without any work being done, without reason and no contact. At least once a week, I had to call to find out when work would resume. They failed several Clark County building code inspections and the companyÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂs manager assigned to oversee the build explanation was that the inspector was too strict with the interpretation of the requirements. If it had been the other inspector, it would have passed. REALLY? The masonry crew that was in charge of building the walls for the elevated deck would show up to start working at 5 PM. Yes, PM at night! They were completely incompetent and would have placed the deck foundation cinderblocks in the wrong locations if I hadnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt brought the mistake to their attention, as they were pouring the concrete. The white plaster has mottling, dark grey areas, which make the pool look dirty. It is driving me insane and when I complained, they told me that everyoneÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂs white pool looks like that. I am convinced that I am going to have to file a complaint with the Contractors Board to get this fixed. The supervisor would show up once in the morning when the crew started working and once at the end of the day. There was ZERO supervision of the work being done. They provide a false sense of security to customers when signing the contract because the payments are broken down into stages. What they didnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt tell me was that the required payment schedule is at intervals that include money for work that has not been completed yet. I told them that I refused to pay for work that hasnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt been completed yet and they immediately threatened to stop work on the job. As per Nevada Statute NRS 624.935, if satisfactory payment is made for any portion of the work performed, the contractor shall, before any further payment is made, furnish the owner a full and unconditional release from any claim of mechanic's lien for that portion of the work for which payment has been made. When I asked for the releases before making my next installment, I was told that releases were provided at the end of the job, not during. I told them that I wasnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt going to make another payment without the releases and they immediately threatened to stop work on the job until I made a payment. Anything that was not in the initial contract was an upgrade and they tried to price gouge ANY add-ons. The completion was SEVERAL MONTHS past the expected completion date in the contract. The completion delay resulted in having to wait MONTHS to use my pool because it was too cold when it was finished. I wasnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt offered any concession to compensate for it. I work from home so I had the ability to watch every part of the construction. There were SO many things that were done incorrectly that I had to bring to their attention. The owner of the company told me that I was the worst customer that they ever had because I didnÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂt give them enough time to find the mistakes & then fix them. ThatÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂs what I got from hiring Courtney Landscape and Pools. They have to take months to screw up your pool and then you have to wait for them to figure out what went wrong so they can fix it. If itÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂs something thatÃÂ¢ÃÂÃÂs not immediately apparent, you will eventually find out way after they have your money and are long gone.

I was referred to Courtney by a co-worker who has been their customer for many years. I am fairly new to the Las Vegas area and wasn't sure who to call. I had recently bought a foreclosed home that had been vacant for almost a year so what was left of the yard and pool was nothing short of a mess. I had an appt with Frank and Betty who discussed my options with the budget I had to work with. Within in a few days they had a design and a week and half later they started. I'm happy to say I love my yard and plan to use them again when I'm ready to start on the pool.
POOR SERVICE - DO NOT USE

The sale was prompt but the service was NOT. They delayed our pool resurfacing several times and then when they finally got to it (after the original completion date) it looked great for about 3-4 days. Then I started noticing that the pool surface was pealing up!!! My pool looked worse than before. So they Kelly, Jack and the President Chris said that polishing the pool was the answer. I only had normal plaster put in and as I was given the info for Crystal Tech - repolishing. I since asked Courtney Pools to give me the information from Pool Blend on polishing. I have also contact Pool Blend directly and both are not answering my questions. SO now I'M LEFT with a pool that looks like it's been sanded!! (HORRIBLE) To top it off there are 3 companies that get hired from other contractors to do resurfacing. According to Kelly the one that they used were guys...NO COMPANY. They hired people???? Foremans of the major ones. NOT LICENSED!!!! Paid through Courtney. BEWARE!!!!

Fortunately "unhappy" customers like the one listed below are few and far between. Our number one goal at all times is to have a HAPPY customer and we will come back 100 times if need be to make a customer happy. 1) We tell every client before the sale that completion dates are not set in stone. Weather plays a big part (when plastering) and windy days alter the schedule. Most clients understand that when its windy dirt and debris are flying and the last thing you want is that dirt stuck in your new plaster. 2) Although I'm not clear exactly what is being said towards the bottom of the review it sounds like "unhappy" is saying we hire unlicensed sub contractors. That is completely false. WE ARE LICENSED CONTRACTORS ~ A-10 and A-10E #67883 as well as C-10 #55372.Lastly, it was determined by an outside agency (brought out by "unhappy") that their particular issue was brought on by poor pool maintenance. Peeling or sanded spots were never found by the inspector.

3 day job took 3 months. company lacks equipment and employees lack skills to perform simple work. Owners would not become involved.

Literally within two weeks (from the first meeting with the estimator to the install) we got the backyard we had always wanted. It's beautiful, clean and will be easy to maintain.Thanks Guys!
This company doesn't service the Henderson area

We contacted this company to try and schedule weekly lawn maintenance. After saying they would send someone out, they sent another e-mail stating "they do not service our area". WE LIVE IN HENDERSON; not the outskirts of town. Don't waste your time contacting this company! They don't need the business!
