I couldn't disagree more with your assessment of Dr. Cormier recommendation of Prolotherapy for treatment of bone on bone osteoarthritis. And since Dr. Cormier's treatment is a natural solution, it can only benefit your bones [whereas the countless prescriptions that are being handed out like Easter candy, especially steroids, can have significant long-term negative effects]. An x-ray is less reliable than Dr. Cormier pinpointing your pain and assessing the flow and track of that pain [which I am certain he did]. Eastern medicine is not reliant on x-rays. In fact, an x-ray is very risky on its own.

Dr. Cormier has never contended to me or anyone that I strongly recommended to him that he has a Prolotherapy solution for bone spurs. Clearly, the second opinion you received was based solely on that doctor's recommendation that you have surgery. A surgery that is very costly and risky, as well as having a considerably long rehab schedule.

At the very core of Dr. Cormier's practice is the avoidance of surgery. From my personal experience, Prolopuncture by Dr. Cormier has been remarkably effective on me as well as several of the people I have strongly recommended to Dr. Cormier for treatment.

The best thing about Prolopuncture is the virtual elimination of the risks [and costs] inherent in any surgical procedure.

Trust me, you didn't waste your time or your money on Dr. Cormier's treatment. And while it may have not done anything for your bone spurs, it certainly did a lot to help restore the health of your shoulder.

I would think twice before I went with a full shoulder replacement. Before I have any significant treatment or surgery, I always go to the Cleveland Clinic for their opinion. My advice to you is to take that trip to Cleveland before you undergo such an invasive surgery.

Although Dr. Cormier was very nice I was unhappy with my experience as his patient. When I went to see Dr. Cormier I had been diagnosed with bone on bone osteoarthritis in my shoulder and went to investigate Prolotherapy and see if it was right for me. He said definitely I was a candidate and he started treatments without ever looking at the X-rays I brought in to show him. When I returned North after three months of treatments, I wanted to continue treatment so I went to another Prolotherapy doctor here. Imagine how surprised I was to have this doctor ask for X-rays I had had done in 2015 and then tell me I wasn't a candidate for Prolotherapy because of large bone spurs I had. I feel I had needless treatments and am now going for total shoulder replacement after wasting 10 months.

Alfred and Lisa are the two most educated and concerned people I know. Not once have I gone in there and not had the best care and attention. They explain everything in a way that is easy to understand and they put all their energy into helping the healing process. I am currently studying Oriental medicine and I see now more than ever the proficiency this clinic has. The are true health care practitioners and some of the best!
