This is in response to “Unsatisfied customer”. This car was originally brought to us for an oil change, and squeaky belt which turned out to be a serpentine belt and tensioner. During the 30 point inspection and fluid top off that is included with our oil change the technician noticed that there was oil floating on top of water in the reservoir. We brought this to the customer’s attention that his reservoir needed to be cleaned out. There was no oil in the radiator, the head gaskets were checked, and there was no water contamination in the oil pan. We did not flush the cooling system we removed, cleaned out and reinstalled the reservoir. When the customer left our shop there was no indication of having any further problems. A week later we gave the customer our routine follow up call where he told our office he was over- heating. The customer declined towing in the vehicle with his AAA towing and tried to drive in the vehicle after we strongly suggested that the vehicle be towed in. As the vehicle wouldn’t drive any farther over-heating the vehicle had to be towed in. It was diagnosed as having a faulty radiator; a quote was given for the parts and labor by our service staff. The customer declined having us do the work. It was taken to a different shop. Concerned about the outcome of this Kevin Cooper/owner called the customer, the customer confirmed to Kevin that the radiator failing was not our fault. The shop that did the radiator told this customer it was not our fault his radiator failed. Kevin politely asked customer to please remove this review he has not. Auto repair sometimes runs into unforeseen difficulties, we do our best to check out vehicles thoroughly for issues with our customer’s safety being our number one priority.
