DO NOT USE COON RAPIDS APPLIANCE EVER!!!!! They schedule appointments they don't show to. They deny an appointment was ever made. And they scam people into getting new AC units. They cannot fill it over 3lbs of freon more than once so they don't fix it the first time so they have to replace it when you call for their warranty. Terrible business ethics and practices!!!!



I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!

Was set up with this company by my warranty Co. for a repair- never again. Should have researched first! From initial visit to when they came back with the parts was 15 days without the appliance working. It worked fine for a couple days, but 4 days later was just as broke as when it started...

My experience with Coon Rapids was the first time I've been yelled at in memorable history. The technician was rude from the first phone call, was one hour late and unapologetic and was inefficient. He answered an HSA call to assess my furnace and didn't have the correct tools so he lied that the problem was a wrong filter--how will replacing a filter fix cracks in my heat exchanger!? It wouldn't have been so bad if he'd admitted he didn't have the correct tools and offered to come back. He just adamantly insisted he's been in the business over 30 years and I should basically give him his deductible and shut up! I complained to the manager Eric who may have just been the same person I was complaining about because he did nothing to promote customer relations.

My advice to you is use another company, there's plenty of good ones out there.

Do not use this business if you want professional service and honesty. They will throw darts at the board without really knowing what they are doing and HOPE to get lucky. Meanwhile, you will pay for all the little claims they make as to what is wrong. If there was an option to provide a negative star rating it would be at least negative 10. He is short tempered with people and flat out lies about what his business is doing and cant keep a schedule. I never write reviews on companies anywhere but I had such a bad taste in my mouth that it was time to warn other people about this chop shop.
