I have been seeing Dr. A since 2003. I would never want to go any place else. His staff is great! They all make you feel like your at home. I had surgery on my ankle a couple years ago and have been doing better. He cares about his patients and is very trustworthy. He has a great sense of humor. I would recommend Dr. A to any family member or friend, as well as strangers. He's known to be one of the best surgeons in the east bay.

I have known Dr. Ambrosino for a great many years now. Very simply, he is the best doctor... of any type of doctor... that I have ever been to. His medical and surgical skills are excellent. Because of genetics and clumsiness, I've been seeing Dr. Ambrosino for about 10 years. I twisted my ankle on a beach one day and that simple twist turned into tearing 2 of the 3 ligaments in my ankle apart. I walked around on that foot / ankle for almost a year before things got really bad and I started having sharp, stinging pains in my foot, ankle, and leg. I looked in the phone book for a podiatrist and found the CC Foot & Ankle Center. From the moment I walked through their doors I felt well taken care of. Dr. A NEVER made me feel stupid for not understanding the technicalities and for asking him the same question over and over again. When testing showed I needed surgery to reconnect the ligaments with bone anchors, I was petrified! Dr. A explained everything from pre op instructions through post op including what I could expect through each phase in between. I had a twelve week recovery period not including physical therapy and follow up doctor visits. Dr. A and his staff became like a family. We saw a lot of each other due to 1 more major and a couple of minor surgeries. Dr. Ambrosino is NOT surgery happy. He suggested many conservative treatments first before it became obvious to us both that the only answer was surgery. His attention to detail and meticulous ways confirmed for me that I made the right decision when I chose him for my podiatric needs. He is my hero and without him I wouldn’t be walking without difficulty, if at all. I will be forever grateful!

Upon entering the door at Contra Costa Foot & Ankle, you will be greeted by a most friendly staff. They are very personable and make you feel right at home. Dr. Ambrosino, kindly referred to as Dr.A, is most professional and gracious doctor I know. "This is the one doctor I am actually happy to see". He really knows his stuff and takes your ankles and feet very seriously. He is thorough and will educate you on the proper way to keep your feet in working order. Trust me your feet will thank you in the long run. He is kind hearted and is very punctual.So make sure you are on time to your appointment! I have been coming to Dr. A for several years now and will continue to do so. I recommend all of my peers and friends to him! So here is my latest accident , recently I had a very serious injury to my foot and ankle. It happened while I was away in Mexico at my fathers funeral. I was unable to see him until I got back on a Saturday (4 days later). I was in so much pain that I wanted to pass out. Dr. A came in on Saturday as he was very concerned that I went without medical attention for some time. It was broken in 4 places! I thought, I would never walk normally again. Well here I am 4 months later in feet ready to do just about anything. I am back in the gym and running again. I thank you so very much for taking care of my feet and keeping me upright. Next stop orthodics.

Dr. A is THE BEST!

I've got bad feet on BOTH sides of my family. I had so many problems, I won't bore you with the details. But I will say that Dr. A is an EXCELLENT podiatrist & surgeon. I'm walking today because of Dr. A. He has addressed my podiatric issues in a methodical manner, only resorting to surgery when absolutely necessary. The orthodics he has prescribed have worked miracles, my feet feel great in them! And, unlike others who send out orthodics for minor alterations, Dr. A. takes the time and has the skill to make those minor corrections right in his office within minutes, instead having to wait for 2-3 weeks for a lab to perform the work. If you've got foot problems, see Dr. A today.

When my daughter was about 3 I noticed that her ankles looked a little odd when she walked. I asked her pediatrician at the time and I was told she would out grow her condition. I knew that this did not seem right. When we changed medical coverage to Kaiser and we began to look for a podiatrist within Kaiser. My sister recommended Dr. Ambrosino even though he would not be covered through Kaiser. To me, a great doctor is priceless. Dr. Ambrosino gave my daughter, who is now 5, a comprehensive consult and determined that conservative treatment would be the best option, but was very upfront about the possibility of a minor surgery when she is a little older.





Recently my daughter had an ingrown toenail. Dr. A fit her into his schedule the same day and treated her. Her toe healed wonderfully and she had very little discomfort. His follow-up care is top-notch!



We are very happy with the treatment he has given our family and would not change doctors. My daughter loves "Dr. A." and looks forward to seeing him and his wonderful staff.

My dad was hurt 4 years ago when his foot was crushed in a machine. He was told he was fine and could go to work the next day. Because he had seen Dr. Ambrosino before he went for a second opinion when he couldn't stand on his foot. He had severe tissue and nerve damage. Dr. Ambrosino has been working with my dad for 4 years now to get his foot to where he can walk with minimum pain. Can you imagine the permanent damage that would have happened had he listened to the first doctor? Thank you Dr. Ambrosino. Our family will never go anywhere else.

I have been going to Dr A for 4 years now. He and his staff are wonderful. He takes his time and is almost always on schedule. I am greatful that I can now walk without pain because of him.

I HAVE KNOWN DR AMBROSINO AND STAFF FOR OVER 14 YEARS, I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT CARE AND TREATED GREAT AT HIS OFFICE. DR AMBROSINO HAS ALWAYS GONE THAT EXTRA MILE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. DOCTOR AMBROSINO DID A SURGERY ON MY GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS UNABLE TO CLOSED TOED SHOES AND AFTER THE SURGERY SHE HAS NOT HAD ANY MORE PAIN AND IS ABLE TO WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES, SHE CAN WALK BETTER AND FOR LONGER PERIODS OF TIME. IF I OR MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS EVER NEEDED A PODIATRIST I WILL ALWAYS SEND THEM TO DR AMBROSINO.

If it was not for Dr. Ambrosino, I would not have my big toe. After a industrial accident on a friday afternoon, this office was the only office that would stay late to see me. When anyone else would have looked at the mangled mess and cut off my toe, Dr. Ambrosino painstakingly removed every broken piece of bone and sewed my toe back up. His staff has been nothing but caring and I will never go to any other podiatrist.

Have had nothing but problems with this office. Would not recommend this to anyone.
