Description: Cumberland Community Action Program Inc. in Fayetteville, North Carolina helps low income individuals and families gain the skills, food, and necessities to live happily. Our volunteers are community members who care and devote their time to making your life better.

Our programs include:

  • Self-sufficiency
  • Housing
  • Consumer credit
  • Food bank
  • Head start

    Our housing program helps to reduce energy costs by improving the function and efficiency of insulation and other energy-related concerns. Through our self-sufficiency program, individuals and families gain the skills and knowledge needed to care for themselves and their families financially. Our consumer credit service is a non-profit service of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit that helps clients achieve smart, relevant financial goals and maintain them in order to increase savings and personal revenue while assisting with credit issues.

    Through our Head Start program, infants and children up to five years of age are provided free social and educational opportunities in order to gain the skills, confidence, and social abilities needed to begin their academic lives in public schools.
