Brought in 2 of our loved pets. 1st time to pay a visit to Dr C. He felt he knew them better than us. We asked that they call and get our pets records from previous Veterinarian as our dogs had health issues of concern. They did not do so during the appointment time. But they did go ahead and administer injections to one of our dogs without prior approval. One good thing is they did agree to remove some of the charges. The older dog that we wanted to put down so she would no longer suffer, he would not put down. Dr. C said, "she had time left", he did no testing and didn't know her at all. She is just going blind. She passed the next day after a grueling long day of suffering in our backyard that didn't have to happen. We shall not return to this location. I hope that in the future they listen to the pet owners as we do know what is in the best interests of our pets. It would have been different if they had at least called our previous Vet to find out more about our pets but they didn't do that. If they had, they would have known that our older dog was ready to go. I believe they did after all was said and done. Not the appropriate time. She had been going blind for a while! It's taken me a couple of weeks to even be able to write this because we have been so upset. The other dog that we agreed needed some blood work to find out why he seemed to have an upset stomach they injected with stuff even when the blood work came back normal! They never called and asked if they could do so, just went ahead and did so. This in itself is grounds to change clinics. He most likely was sick over the other dog being on her way out. He is madly in love with her and is still in a heavy grief over her loss and hardly eats to this day. She died of old age to be clear. This was not any fault of this vet.

Since I last reviewed Dr. Conrad and his staff, we have been through many issues with our cats...from well-cat appointments for shots, etc., to critical care...Dr. C and his staff are all efficient, caring and gentle with our kitties...no matter what...I would recommend them to anyone anytime.

Dr. Conrad saved my dog, Zoe. We had gone to every single vet in town and none of them had any idea of what was wrong with her. He diagnosed the problem and Zoe is going strong and healthy. He is gentle and kind - he's the best.

A VETERINARIAN I CAN TRUST AND DEPEND ON
by Proud basset owner , 07/06/2010
I am the proud owner of a very difficult dog, one in long line of somewhat unusual and, at times, trying pups. Dr. Conrad and the staff at Woodland Veterinary Clinic have always treated both the dog and me with care, concern and understanding. On two occasions, I have been dog sitting for friends and had health issues for the animal arise. On both occasions, Dr. Conrad and the staff got me in right away and showed the same concern and professionalism for the visiting dog as they do for the my own pet. When surgery has been necessary for my dog, Dr. Conrad and his staff have always called immediately to let me know how things went and always called one, two and even three times to just follow up when the pup came home.I have been with Dr. Conrads clinic for twenty plus years, and will continue to appreciate the kindness, care, concern and professionalism that he and his staff show both me and my furry friends. I would take my four legged friends to no other vet!!!
Reviw of Dr Kevin Conrad.

I have taken all of my animals to Dr. Kevin Conrad for the past few years. When we found him, we knew we found something Very, Very special. He is not only an excellent veterinarian. He is extremely kind, compassionate, loving and very professional with all of my animals. He has an excellent bedside manor. He cares so much about his patients. This is very important to my husband and I, because we Love our four legged children so much. We feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Kevin. He is the very BEST Veterinarian my animals have ever had. My husband and I have had dogs and cats for 28 years. He and his staff have the very highest of standards. He, and his wonderful staff, are always patient, and understanding to our needs. We always feel safe and trusting when our animals are in their care, and I have left them in his clinic numerous times during the day. I have had to call Dr. Kevin on numerous occasions, and he has always called me back, and assisted us in every way possible.
Lack of care

My puppy was left alone at the hospital (following surgery) while the staff went out to celebrate a birthday. I was told I could pick him up after 2 (they planned to be gone from 12-2) and since I was notified that he was ready to be picked up at ONE minute before noon - I couldn't get him until 2. I got there at 2 pm and no one was there. They arrived 15-20 minutes later. My concerns/frustrations fell on deaf ears and I was met with opposition that my pup was just fine and they should be able to go celebrate birthdays, BUT they "care" about their patients. I'll find another vet - thank you very much!In the future do NOT accept surgery patients if there is a birthday to celebrate or the whole staff needs to leave the office. Also, I should have taken my puppy and left when I heard they would all be gone and leave my pup alone. And don't call one minute BEFORE you tell you will be closing so that I might have had a chance to come and get him BEFORE you left to go party. Lastl
