We’ve had two surprise birthday parties at Colonial Hall and both experiences were fantastic. Little did we know when we booked the second party that the date we chose - March 7, 2020 - would be the last Saturday night of life as we knew it before Covid. We are so grateful that our family and friends were able to celebrate and have fun together. The room is beautiful and both parties were a blast! To speak to the other review: We were also told the minimum count both times, and we didn’t hit the minimum for the first party so we paid to meet it. That the deposit wouldn’t be returned otherwise is standard practice - they are turning away business because you’ve claimed a date, so if you decide to cancel they keep the deposit. Why anyone would be surprised at this is beyond me.

It's impossible to work with a more deceitful, misleading group of people. Stay away! We were looking for a place to have a banquet for our long retired basketball coach. My friend put down a 500 dollar deposit to hold the date(which was 8 months away), then realized we wouldn't be able to get the 70 person minimum needed to hold the event. They wouldn't give him the deposit back. The deposit was misrepresented in the contract and they then told him that the deposit was non-refundable. Awful!
