I had to take my 107 pound Rottweiler in on Memorial Day due to a bite wound on his face. The staff was very friendly and the vet, Dr. Paley, did a good job and took all precautions for my dogs well being. My dog does NOT like the vet and fought with them every step of the way but they were patient and carrying. As he got to stressed they would back off and let him relax. She was apprehensive about messing around his mouth but frankly I can't blame her on that one. He's hurt already and stressed out , I'm glad she took the precautions because the last thing I'd want is for him to bite her or the techs. Or hurt himself worse jerking away from them. Casey, the Vet Tech, was AWESOME!!! I'd give her 10 stars! A super caring, pet loving person that treated my pet as if it were her own. Just the type of person you want carrying for your beloved furbaby.They let me stay with him the whole time. The bill was high but could have been a lot higher. I'm glad to know there is a good emergency vet in the area.

We had to take my 16 year old Jack Russell here Saturday night because her regular vet was closed. They took her right in and when they realized it seemed more serious than just an infected bite wound, they talked to us. They gave us a quote for initial treatment but took a history and told us even if she could beat the infection, the recovery would be a long road and her quality of life would not be better. They easily could've sucked a lot of money out of us to try and save her even though they knew it was not the best for my girl. The doctor and vet tech were extremely compassionate and I really feel like they gave us the best advice for my girl even though they could've taken us for much more with the same result.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PET HERE!!!

STAFF IS COMPLETELY RUDE AND HEARTLESS.I AM HEART BROKEN FOR THE LOSS OF MY 11 MONTH OLD CANE CORSO MASTIFF. BROUGHT HER IN AND ENDED UP BEING TOLD SHE HAD BLOAT AND WAS IN THE FINAL STAGES AND TOO LATE TO SAVE. BEFORE BEING TOLD ANYTHING AT ALL THE VET HERSELF ENTERED THE EXAM ROOM AND SAID 'BEFORE I 'SAY ANYTHING AT ALL,I NEED A CREDIT CARD AND 500 DOLLARS". MONEY WASN'T A PROBLEM BUT THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD SAY SUCH RIGHT OFF AND THE SMUG, OBNOXIOUS WAY WE WERE TOLD,YOU JUST KNOW WHAT THEY ARE AFTER AND WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT. MY POOR GIRL AT 11 MONTHS ENDED UP NEEDING TO BE PUT DOWN. THIS WAS A VERY DIFFICULT TIME FOR MY FAMILY AND THE RUDENESS AND CARELESSNESS FROM THE VET ESPECIALLY MADE OUR TREMENDOUS LOSS EVEN HARDER. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR MY GIRL,EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T ALLOW THE VET AND STAFF TO RUSH ME AND ASKED TO GIVE MY PUP PAIN MEDS SO SHE WASN'T IN ANY PAIN SO WE COULD LOVE ON HER AND SAY OUR GOODBYES, THE VET AND STAFF WERE TRYING TO RUSH US TO PUT HER DOWN,AGAIN MORPHINE WAS GIVEN,SHE WASN'T IN ANY PAIN,I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEIR ISSUE WAS,THEY HAD NO COMPASSION AT ALL. WE TOOK OUR GIRL HOME AND BURIED HER,NO TELLING THE CARELESSNESS AND DISRESPECT THEY WOULD HAVE SHOWN HER. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING EXPIRIENCE. I NOW WISH I COULD HAVE DRIVEN HER TO NEW BERN OR WILMINTON'S AVAILABLE AFTER HOUR URGENT CARE. PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE YOUR PET ELSEWHERE. THIS PLACE JUST WANTS MONEY AND THAT IS ALL PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE REVIEWS ON THIS HORRIBLE PLACE NOT ONLY ON THIS SITE BUT MANY OTHERS AND TAKE THEM TO HEART WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR PET. Dr. Paley radiographed and bandaged my 21-week old Pom's leg so well that she will not need surgery. Our orthopedist said Abby's alighment was perfect and was certainly the exception--not the rule.Thank you, Dr. Paley, for an outstanding job!!

Our dog was having some stomach issues. After she refused to eat all day and seemed less and less like herself, we brought her in to get checked out. The vet and assistant were very helpful and friendly. They even called the next day to check on our dog to see how she was doing. Yes, emergency care is a little pricier than regular care, but the quality of care and concern were priceless.
Dog dies needlessly

Took my dog in with bloating, she wanted 2500 for surgery, told her I could have a 9am was not good enough, she asked me for money repeatedly, told her I had it, just could not give to her right then. She put my dog down a little after midnight. Will never know if he could have lived. All she cares about is money, and I had it, she just would not wait 8 hours for it. Will miss him forever.

Even if the one you love is dying. Never take them heer, they are not interested in helping your pet without owning your first born child. I took my baby there only because our normal doctor was closed and she gave her more medicine than was supposed to be given a dog of that size. I do not blame them for the passing of my love, but you should be very careful if you choose this establishment for your baby.

we took a cat over there monday night that a dog had gotten a piece of it took 3 hours before they even took care of the cat.the so called vet came in after 1 1/2 hours and said oh yes we had one like this and it died.and it will cost 700.00 to fix it.then she said she would go out and figure up a price.the other lady came in and said 400-600 we said we have 400 can we bring the other in tomorrow and she said let me see.she came back it will be 400.another wait.then the vet pops in it will be 600 so deside she walks back out.after 3 hours we stop her in the hall and ask what is she going to do i forgot you were in here.all she did was shave the cat bandage it pain meds and it was all 270.00.the next day it had surgery at dr.martins and got pain meds.to take home 200.00 they way over charged us for nothing i think we need a refund

Oh my where to start. First of all you have to speak with a hired answering service to explain your emergency. IF she feels it is a true emergency she gets the Vet to call you back. (like you would want to do this if it wasn't) The Vet called back and tried to talk me in to going somewhere else. Talk about UNPROFESSIONAL! She tells me they have all left the office and she will have to call everyone back in.. AND??? Isn't this the reason it is listed as an ALL night clinic? Then she asks if my dog can wait until the next day. HELLO?? I don't think so she was bad off. Then she starts spouting off about how expensive it might become and am I prepared for this. HELLO again? I wouldn't be calling if I didn't have any money as I know how these clinics are. Finally she agrees to meet us at the office. She runs numerous tests and xrays... decides my dog needs surgery. She gives her a shot to bring up her blood pressure and she dies within 5 minutes. Our bill,$1350.00 unreal!

Had to bring our dog in for an emergency on a holiday weekend evening. Called in and was given directions. Once we arrived we were seen almost immediately. Xrays were taken and diagnosis given. Staff was friendly and professional and clinic was clean. Very glad to have this clinic and not have to drive an hour away for an emergency.
