He has worked with architects, designers, artists and engineers from around the country. Through extensive experience of automated and manual fabrication processes, 3D modeling and general construction, he brings a unique understanding to project management, logistics and work flow. Damon has designed, fabricated and installed a number of high profile projects in New Mexico and Colorado.
High profile projects:
Big I - Art work fabricated and installed consisted of six tapered sweep walls with internally lighted steel pylons. Three tapered stone clad sweep walls built of steel. Entire project used 20 tons of hand cut and stacked stone. Four sculpture elements, Icon Walls, which has unique plasma cut imagery designed by the artist.
Old Town Bridge over the Rio Grande - CMY, Inc. provided a concept for an artistic enhancement to be installed at the time of renovation. Fabrication and installation of 12 large polychrome plate steel panels and set to words on matching laser etched granite information stations.
I-40 pedestrian bridge over the Rio Grande - Design contract and presentation of concept and design boards for the city of Albuquerque’s review committee.
Santa Fe Railyard Park and Plaza - Provided shop drawings and engineering, fabrication and installation of the 400 linear feet of custom railing, stainless steel cabling, 23' dia. by16' high tower for a water tank. CMY, Inc. received special recognition from the owner and contractor for quality workmanship and smooth integration with other subcontractors.
Camino Real Sculpture - Provided drafting, computer modeling, engineering, fabrication and installation of the 30' high, 21 ton steel and glass sculpture.
