I recently moved to Clinton by I-75, so I switched my vet over to Clinton Animal Hospital because it was closer to where I live. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get heartworm for my dog, Jack Frost. The vet's office doesn't carry the Sentinel (I'm not sure why because it's inexpensive and it works great!), so I ordered it online 6 months ago. I tried to order it for a year because the site I was ordering it from had a special. Well they wouldn't approve a year, only 6 months. That's fine, that is their rules. So, 2-3 weeks ago (at least) I tried to order it again, a little early, to make sure I had it on time so he wouldn't miss a dose. I called twice during that time and asked them to fax it back. They said the manager was out that Friday but that she would review it on Monday. I called that Tuesday (2-3 weeks ago) and still she hadn't faxed it back, but they said she still getting caught up.They never faxed back the form, never called me or anything. So finally, 3 days ago, I called again because he has no heartworm medicine. They apologized, said they were remodeling and the manager can't find anything so the form never made it to her desk. Which, is fine that happens. We also talked about me picked up 1 dose of heartworm medicine only, for about triple the cost of the medicine I was going to order. So I had the company fax back the form again yesterday. So today I called Thursday, and they never faxed back the form. I was told I needed to come in and pick up a written prescription, that they don't fax them back because the prescription can be altered. This is the exact same form that they faxed back 6 months ago. I have always had animals, I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a horse and a donkey and I never been given such a hard time trying to get preventative medicine. I would rather drive a little farther, than to deal with this every time I need preventative medicine for my animals. They may not do this all the time, but my experience with them has not been good. The vets were good though, most of the office staff are helpful, but there are 1-2 that are really hateful.

Have been going for sometime. Took my dog for an injection for pre diagnosed issue. Vet said may need antibiotic she would work up the price and let me know when I go to leave. Well an extra 34.00 was added for an exam. I did not come for an exam, ask for one, or see what was done to get an extra 34.00. When I said I was not happy no one seemed to care. I said I did not like it and would pay it and go somewhere else I was told "sorry" not one seemed to care at all. I will not go back.

Good Customer

The two doctors practicing at this clinic, Dr. Bowling and Dr. Valunas are top knotch doctors. I absolutely trust my pets with them. I know Dr. Bowling and work with her husband. The only negative is the office staff. Since opening the additional clinic in Norris the best staff members went to that facility. Now, no one knows who we am when we call. The doctors do know us and remember us. I would recommend this facility.
