I liked this place so much I took my best friend who was visiting from out of town. She loved it!!! The best thing about this place is how fast you are in & out. My favorite stylist is Sherry. She is the ONLY one who I let touch my hair in this salon. I have several places I go for hair styling and Cleopatra 2 is one of my favorites. I have relaxed black hair that is just beyond shoulder length headed toward bra-strap length. It tends to be dry and break especially in the winter time. I have to extra, extra careful with it. So as a result ,I don't go here but every so often because of the blow drying and the heat. Let me be clear, I go here for hair STYLING not hair CARE. My regular stylist who I have been going to for over 8 years is Theodore Barr in Matteson at Creative Hairworks in Lincolin Mall. I don't care where you go, if you persist week in and week out with blow drying and heat on coarse black relaxed hair you are going to have problems. So I do more roller sets than anything else. Theodore patiently conditions, trims and GENTLY relaxes my new growth as needed. He is AWESOME! And so is Sherry, don't get me wrong! When I wanna feel special and I don't have a lot of time, I go see Sherry at Cleopatra 2. My hair ALWAYS looks stunning when I leave her chair and I an usually out in under an hour. Love it! I have different stylists for different reasons. Sometimes I need speedy service & sometimes I need total care & conditioning. Together, they are the best of both worlds.

I was a walk-in who received a touch-up from a guy who walked up from behind me and started throwing perm in my hair. I explained I just wanted the roots touched-up, but it felt like he was slapping perm all over my head. He didn't come it through well. And after my hair was washed, it still had a lot of waves in it. And it looked dried out. I had the people in charge look at it who agreed with my complaint, but did not offer to do anything about it. This guy was definitely not qualified. Please beware that there may be more of them at that shop. Needless to say, I will never go back.
