My name is Chris Montgomery, and I've been a Social Security attorney - almost exclusively - since I received my license to practice law.

Some Social Security lawyers will take your case to the hearing only. If they lose, they drop you telling you there's nothing else they can do. Or they refer you out, telling you that they don't take cases beyond the hearing. Other Social Security attorneys cram their shelves so full of cases, they don't even know their client's names or injuries - they are playing a numbers game in which the more cases they take to hearings, the more cases they collect on, even if those cases were not properly prepared.

I'm not like them.

I intentionally keep my caseload low and I take cases as far as I realistically can. I don't shy away from difficult or hard-to-win cases. Many Social Security claimants have a good chance of winning beyond the administrative law judge hearing, but some attorneys won't pursue it. I have taken many cases to the Social Security Appeals Council asking for reversals of the administrative law judge. And I've taken several cases beyond that - to the federal courthouse in Chicago.

My job is to win your case, even if that means it takes a little more time and a little more effort than some other cases. In other words, I work for you. And I'm in your corner, from day one.
