NEARBY TRANSMISSIONS
Same thing by SingleMom - 07/30/2009I was recommended to this shop by a trusted mechanic friend of mine. When Jason got it, he said that my transmission would need to be rebuilt, but because I was referred, he would only charge me $980 for the parts that were needed and no labor. So I paid that. On my way home (not even 10 miles) my check engine light came back on and my car started doing the exact same thing that I took it in for. So I went back and he told me that he would have an electrician go through it because the code that was coming up said that only Hyundai could scan it and reset it, but that his electrician has the same equipment. His electrician came back and said that it needed a Transmission Control Module, so they replaced that for another $980. On the way home, AGAIN the light came back on. So this time I took it to Hyundai and they told me that they almost NEVER replace a TCM and especially in a car that only has 75000 miles on it. All it needed all along was a Transmission Control Relay... a $25
Repair Done Right by sue - 07/30/2009When my transmission started slipping, Jason at choice got me roght in and got me on the road in a day and a half at a reasonable price. he realy was a pleaser to deal with.Thank you Sue A
Same experience for me! The owner Jason Halaby is a crook!! adjustable prices! by bartf - 05/13/2009My vehicle broke down near this location and was towed to Az Choice Transmission. Jason contacted me and quoted me an astronomical price. When I did not agree he kept lowering the price. I called a tow truck and took it to another place. They even kept some of my parts. The other transmission place had to deal with these crooks to get my parts back. Find another transmission repair place and stay away from these crooks!
Ripoff by ssssss - 03/15/2008The guy said it'd cost 2000.00 to fix, no way around it. After telling him a tow truck was on the way to get it, magically, the price drops to 800.00. Too late, crook. He tried to pass off that he's giving a generous discount of 1200.00 just because. Whatever, he doesn't even lie well. Instead of being a failed thief, be an honest mechanic who has an ounce of dignity.
