Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy
Chiropractic Sport and Spinal Rehab has added a Triton DTS table to provide the latest in treatment for pains resulting from herniated, degenerated or damaged discs. The spinal decompression therapy, which has been FDA cleared, is available in our clinic located at 4228 Power Drive North in Bemidji.

The therapy is a non-surgical, computerized traction procedure for the relief of back, leg, neck or arm pain often associated with herniated or bulging discs. By cycling through distraction and relaxation phases as well as by proper positioning, a spinal disc can be isolated during treatment and placed under negative pressure. The resulting vacuum effect enables a protruding disc compoment to be pulled back to a more normal position.

Traction therapy is the proven method for the relief of painful pressure on muscular and skeletal structures.

Computer is Critical to Treatment
"The critical component of this new technology is the computer on the Triton DTS system," said Dr. Lyle Erickson, chiropractic physician. "It controls the variations in the traction pull, allowing for spinal decompression that eliminates the muscle guarding that is typical in conventional tractions devices. The pre-programmed patterns for ramping up and down the amount of axial distraction allows for higher levels of spinal decompression and disc rehydration."

Triton DTS uses the most advanced technology to precisely deliver the pretentsion, controlled speed, pull force, timing and gradient patterns often associated with popular manual techniques. The system was developed by the Chattanooga Group, an innovative company in the physical medicine field which has been producing clinical traction devices since 1977.
