One of the best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at New York and Washington DC included!!!!

My family and i love going here to eat. We know that if we are dinig in it will be a wait but a well deserved on. Yes the husband and wife duo do argue in their language but we dont understand it so it is all good. This is my favorite restaurant over many that I have tried in the Broome county area. It stays true to who they are and what they eat. I Itell many people of this restaurant and do pre warn them that if they are eating in and they are busy it may be a wait but worth it!

China Lake is the ONLY Chinese restaurant within a fifty-mile radius of Binghamton, NY that consistently serves dishes equal to their Chinese and Taiwanese counterparts. The menu, especially the Chinese language one, is a purist's dream; peppered with special ingredients such as black bean curd, frog, dried fish, you cai, baby clams, and on and on and on. China Lake's tiny dining room is often filled to capacity with Chinese guests--a testament to the loyality it has engendered among locals who value authenticity. It is my restaurant of choice for entertaining Chinese dignitaries and visiting professors and in my experience none has been disappointed. Unfortunately, the husband and wife team who cook, serve and clean are often overwhelmed during dinner rushes. If you're looking for fast service then China Lake is not for you. The two often argue loudly in Chinese from dining room to kitchen, shouting freely over the heads of their guests. But most forgive the frey; the food is worth it!
