Funny to read other's reviews- looks like I'm not the only one that has been scammed by their office. We started going to the Kent office 10yrs ago and were happy there. Then we switched to Bonney Lake since it was closer. Last year they billed my insurance twice for a procedure that they screwed up on the first time they did it and were not supposed to bill me a second time. Of course they did and when the claim was denied they sent the bill to me. When I called the office to ask what the bill was for they told me it was for something completely different. I had to do my own research to figure out they were attempting to double bill me. I figured it was an honest mistake and let it go. But last year I started my daughter there with braces. They sat me down and we went over the entire treatment plan and what it was going to cost. The plan was going to take approximately two years and they told me the entire cost would be about $4000. My insurance would pay a max of $1500 and I payed the entire balance that day and we started the orthodontics plan. Eight months into the plan I have now received a bill from their office for over $600 saying that I had met my maximum with insurance. When I checked with my insurance I found out that within the first four months of treatment this office had used up my entire lifetime benefits. And the bill for over $600? That was the monthly charges that were now adding up for the monthly checkups for the other 4months we were going there without me even knowing this was happening. When I called their office to find out what was going on they told me it was because the orthodontist ordered my daughter to have 4 adult teeth pulled and my insurance billed it under ortho treatment instead of dental treatment and that they had never seen an insurance company do this before. What?! You're telling me you're surprised that when an orthodontist orders healthy adult teeth to be pulled that it was billed as ortho treatment?! My insurance is Metlife- not a tiny company and you're telling me you've never seen this before? More lies! So the over $4000 that was paid for braces that was supposed to cover two years of treatment only paid for 4 months and now those benefits are forever gone. This place cares more about how many flat screen tvs and Xboxes they have then about being honest and really caring about their patients. I have been totally scammed and I should have seen the warning signs the first time they tried to make false insurance claims and lie to me about it. Absolutely sick about how this place has treated me and from reading the reviews below I'm seeing this is common practice for them. I will say the drs and techs are very nice. But I agree that the front office is rude and their business office is run by liars and scammers. This place is the worst! Changing to Bonney Lake Ortho (which I'm now going to have to pay completely out of pocket)- I've only heard wonderful things about their whole office.

The actual dentist is nice, but their receptionists are rude and that's what makes me not want to return again. They need to hire younger and nicer people that love their job. I feel sorry for those rude women, I'm going to pray for them.

While my son, 7 years old, was able to go there with little to no anxiety their business practices are shady at best. First, they told us we would be out of pocket $362 for a couple of cavities because of sedation. Each appointment was supposed to be $181 and for some reason one of them was $221 so we paid a total of $402, not a big deal because hey insurance does not cover everything. So the problem becomes that we have double insurance and insurance actually does pay everything. When we found out that insurance paid all of this my wife called and asked about the money we paid, the lady told her they would look at it in the next 30 to 45 days, absolutely ridiculous. Then about two weeks later they bill our insurance a second time and get paid partially again by my wife's insurance. We notify the insurance company and they reverse the payment, I send a demand letter for our money outlining all payments made. A week or so later they bill the insurance again, this time we get insurance to call them and speak with them and reverse payments again. Finally in May (this started in March) we get our money back. To me, absolutely unethical and bad business practices all around: buyer beware.
Absolutely the Best office ever!! by
I took my 2 year old first to the Kent office then to the Bonney Lake office and they are both absolutely AMAZING!!!!! It was unbelievable! She sat still and let them do everything! The assistant were so great at talking her through her visit! They took xrays and cleaned and did the ENTIRE appointment! I was absolutely amazed. I am now taking all of my children there and they love it! I also have one daughter who just started braces and I can already see a change! I am so excited we found this office! I will tell everyone I know to bring their kids here!!!!! Thank you for being so great you guys!!! My kids love your office and don't want to leave when wwe"re there!!!!

I have been going to the Kent Children's Dental Care for 8 years, and now switched over to the new Bonney Lake office, as it is closer to my home. I have always had EXCELLENT service and the doctors and all the staff are so wondrful!!! The office is beautiful and they are SO kid friendly there, my kids love it!!! (The new orhtodontist they have is awesome too!!!)

Once again, the gal at the front desk was very rude and having to show her fangs. She should not be working near children...let alone a front desk. Appointment was misplaced...and arguments on who is right began. I am just trying to get my son in to finish his work. She hung up on me today...tried calling back and she hung up each time I called. Then I finally got through, asked for a manager or the owner but hmmm the manager was on vacation and the owner does not have voicemail. Have you seen their new office, no voicemail...really. Anyways...stay clear only because you have to deal with argumentative front desk staff.
