Description: Welcome to Children's Crossing Pediatric Dentistry!

We are the kid's oral care center serving Saratoga Springs, Utah and the surrounding area. Children should begin to establish a dental home at a very early age by visiting a pediatric dentist. The dental home refers to the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all aspects of oral health care. At Children's Crossing Pediatric Dentistry, Dr Tew and Dr Rupp, along with their dental staff, have created a great environment where kids not only learn proper oral health in a safe and fun environment, but also a place, as we like to say, "Where Smiles Grow."

This unique practice is dedicated to providing a higher standard of pediatric oral care. At Children's Crossing, we have found children react best when treated with kindness, patience and humor. Dr Tew and Dr Rupp and their entire staff are specifically trained in the treatment of children for their regular hygiene visits, dental restorations, and emergency dental care.

Specializing in care for infants, children and adolescents, some of the following services Children's Crossing provides include:

  • Anesthesia and Sedation
  • Preventive Care
  • Emergency Care
  • Fluoride Treatments
  • Restorative Dental Work
  • Dental Health Education

Your child's first dental visit sets the tone for subsequent attitudes about both dental care and oral health. Children's Crossing believes it is important to establish a good association with going to the dentist. Dr Tew and Dr Rupp's overall goal is not merely for your child to have a tolerable visit, but for them to have a great experience with us and will enjoy going to the dentist for a lifetime!

    In our time of need

Thee best doctor, dr. Rupp was so kind, our daughter had an emergency and he came to the rescue, put in 5 stitches and my 8 year old was calm and comforted. What a great experience in a traumatic time for my daughter. Thank you thank you. Dr. Rupp

    Over booked, long wait times

    by sam , 12/01/2014

Took my kids to this dentist because of great reviews... I wasn't impressed with the cleaning. We waited forever and seemed unorganized. Took a hour and a half for two kids cleaning and a baby check up. Then today I took my son back to get a small filling filled. He sat for a half hour with just the numbing gel in his cheek. Then forty five min into sitting there they numbed him and made us wait for twenty more min before they even started. It just seems like they try and squeeze fifteen clients in with one doctor. So the wait is forever long. I defiantly will just take my kids somewhere else next time.

Thank you for taking the time to inform us of things we could be doing better. We schedule each child 30 minutes for a cleaning and realize there are circumstances beyond our control, which will lengthen or shorten those times but do our best to stay on time. It is unfortunate that we were unable to meet those expectations at both visits and understand how frustrating that is to a busy mother. We hope you are able to enjoy the gift card we gave you at the last appointment for your patience with us and wish you the best at finding a dental home for your family.

    Billing Issues

    by Concerned Parent , 03/12/2013

I absolutely love the dentist, the hygienists, and the decorating of this office! My kids get excited to go to the "teeth doctor." But of the three times my children have had work done, there are billing issues. The estimates they gave me were always way off and I have always had to pay more after the fact. Once they overcharged me by almost $70. After three phone calls and a visit to bring in the paper work, I was told the money would be placed as a credit toward future work on my kids. Also, they do not use silver filling at all, only the white composite (which most insurances won't pay for) so plan on paying extra.

We are glad to hear that you love the staff and that your kids enjoy coming! We understand the frustration with the billing and are happy to assist our patients with any concerns. Though it is ultimatley the insured's resposibility to know what their insurance covers, we try our best to keep patients informed of coverage and provide you with an estimate of expected coverage from your insurance. Unfortunately, this is not always acheived as insurances are constantly changing policies more now than ever. Also, most pediatric dentists will only place the white restorations, though insurances downgrade the price to that of the amalgam (silver) filling. We hope you find what you are looking for in a dental family for your children and thank you for an honest review.
