Chicago Association for Research and Education in Science is a nonprofit organization that provides education to physicians, nurses and researchers. It works in association with the Hines VA Hospital and the North Chicago VA Medical Center. It conducts research trials in the areas of Alzheimer s disease, dialysis and kidney failure, eye and heart diseases, neurological diseases, nicotine dependence, osteoporosis, respiratory diseases and cancer. It also performs clinical trials in other areas that include spinal cord injury, stroke, infectious diseases, substance abuse, ulcers, vascular diseases, cirrhosis, depression and diabetes.
