Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion is a clinic recently established in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa community. We offer comprehensive vision wellness and rehabilitation services for all age groups through state-of-the art equipment and innovative programming. The clinic’s goal is to empower each individual with the ability to perform work, school, athletic, or other leisure activities with confidence and independence. This programming is not offered anywhere else in the community and combines the professional expertise of occupational therapy with optometry. The clinic delivers the following programs: developmental/vision based play groups for babies and toddlers; handwriting classes for pre-school and elementary aged children; individual and group activities which address visual processing and brain organizational skills that are important in improving school/employment performance; balance and low vision living courses for older adults; and therapy programs designed to assist individuals with vision lost due to a stroke or traumatic brain injury. These services are delivered by occupational therapy specialists, optometrists, and a registered nurse. Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion does not turn anyone away for inability to pay. The clinic relies on the ability to obtain donations and grants to provide services to all community members.
