Columbine area of Littleton Colorado. We are located in the Pierce Street Village Center. This center is home of the Front Range Christian School but also has several businesses. It is just a block south of the intersection of Coal Mine and Pierce. Just look behind the AutoZone!
We are in surgery Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. We cannot leave our patients during that time. We know that you would appreciate that if it were your pet If you call during those time, please leave a message and we will try and return your call that afternoon. We see patients by appointment on those afternoons. We also offer a "Walk-in" clinic on Saturday mornings from 9-12. Please, if your pet is ill, do not wait for the walk in hours but contact us to get it in as soon as possible
We are very excited about adding a new and cutting edge treatment modality for your pet's pain and healing. Introducing the Companion Therapy Laser. A class IV deep penetrating laser that decreases pain and inflammation and speeds healing. All this without having your pet sedated or anesthetized!
After the initial treatment regimen, it may take as few as one treatment a month to maintain the results. It works with other pain meds to allow a decrease in drugs. This can be better for your pet's organs. It can help with both acute and chronic pain.
It also has the benefit of treating infections and chronic wounds like "hot spots". Most pets show remarkable improvement after a few treatments. And each treatment only takes a few minutes. Your pet will probably think it came in for a massage and a treat!
Cats Canines & Critters was one of the first veterinary clinics in Colorado to offer LASER surgery for your pet. We have been doing LASER surgery, using the Luxar Carbon Dioxide LASER, for over 14 years. Our 20 watt pulse laser can be used for most soft tissue surgeries.
Why LASER?
LASER surgery offers many advantages over regular surgery. The LASER causes less damage to tissue than electrosurgery. It seals blood vessels, lymphatic ducts and nerves as it cuts. This allows less bleeding, less swelling and less pain than traditional surgery. It also allows faster healing and less peripheral tissue damage.
All this can decrease surgery time and allow your pet to recover faster and with less scarring
The veterinarian is Dr Monte Gulzow.
Dr Gulzow is a 1985 graduate of Colorado state University. He started Cats Canines & Critters in 1987 with the hope that he could educate people on health care. Our mission is to provide health care to your pet in an ethical and caring manner.
Cats Canines and Critters was the third veterinary practice in Colorado to have a CO2 surgical laser. Now we are one of the first to have a therapeutic laser for healing and pain. We attempt to not only be your vet but your friend.
