In 1950, at the same location, my father, Tom F Eng introduced Spokane to the delicacies of fine Chinese cuisine. The Cathay Inn was dedicated to treating customers like family, serving only the finest, quality ingredients. Over the years, some things have changed. Back then, Division Street was more than a little narrow for travelers, and Cathay Inn was a roadside restaurant on the outskirts of Spokane.
