Exceptionally Poor Choice
by Standing Tall , 07/14/2013
Speaking only for the vision side: service and care is slow. Emails and calls are seldom if ever returned. Getting a copy of your prescription is nearly impossible as they want you to use their own services for contacts and glasses, which are expensive and slow. I have been waiting almost 5 months for a contact prescription and the delays are never ending. The organization is probably in violation of numerous state business and medical ethics laws, but since they accept medical insurance from the state employee unions, nothing will ever happen. There are lots of other choices out there. The classic "stick in the eye" may even be better than this particular practice. Again: pertains to eye care side only.
Don't go to the Auburn clinic.
by Soozin12 , 07/10/2013
I don't know if I was just unfortunate to have the experiences that I have at this clinic, or what. That being said I will never return to this location for an appointment. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe what I have seen here. It's very unfortunate that people like this have such power over our feelings, emotions, and the outcome of the treatment prescribed. Initially I went in for a consultation concerning my skin. I was suffering hormonal breakouts. After being seen by Dr.Dang for no longer than 5 minutes, she prescribed Bactrim. An EXTREMELY powerful antibiotic. I voiced my concern about taking such a strong drug, but she reassured me that the amount of time I'd be taking the drug wouldn't have negative effects. That was complete BS. I was on the medication for the prescribed six months, and almost immediately after discontinuing the use, my face went absolutely crazy. I suffered the worst break outs I have ever had. She did not warn me about the side effects. I also suffered other issues with my body, which I do not feel comfortable going into detail about. Over a year later, my body is finally balancing back out. I now see dermatologist Susan Duffy at the Puyallup clinic, and she's great. She's thorough. And she seems to actually care about her patients. What a novel idea, eh? I unfortunately was not able to see her a few weeks back when a cyst formed on my face :( I had to be seen at the Auburn clinic to get a cortisone injection. I am regretting it so very much. The tech must have not diluted the cortisone or injected too much. Not sure. Either way, I've now got an indented area on my face when it was injected. (atrophy) This is going to cost me money to correct. Money I do not have. I'm saddened to say the least about the treatment I have received here. As well as this visual reminder (RIGHT ON MY FACE, NO LESS) that I should not have gone to this clinic.
long wait times..poor customer service

I have gone here a few times..plan to spend 2 hours even for just an eye exam.everytime. They can be rude wether in the office or on the phone I agree with other comments ,the phone service when calling for appts. they are terrible I call and say " I need to make a follow up appt. for my son " I would expect the next question to be and when are you trying to get it not "and whats going on with him " I need to make a follow up appt. does anything else matter. I only go here because they are very close and are on my insurance.
Stupid people, shouldn't be employed!

These "so called professionals" need to go back to school. They are rude, and need to learn how to update people's files. They called me to remind and confirm a doctor appointment, when they should be calling my husband and reminding him. They do not even know how to bill the correct insurance company.
Bad phone customer service, but excellent nurse and doctor staff.

Would've given 5 stars if the call to make the appt went smoother. Called my insurance company for a referral for a dermatologist in Bonnylake, not knowing they only have eye services at the Bonnylake location, the girl I spoke to on the phone when making an appt made me feel like an idiot because I didn't know that. After finding out there is dermatologists in auburn and puyallup I made an appt for Auburn. When I said I'd like to see a lady derma, the girl asked why......are you kidding me!!!!! Because I feel more comfortable w/a woman doc than a man....jeesh! A lot of uncomfortable pauses - I almost hung up at this point, but keeping my fingers crossed my actual office experience was better and it was. The nurse was super sweet and doctor Kim amazing. Would recommend highly....lets work on our customer service phone skills though.

I have seen both eye & skin doctors. They are very professional along with their staff. I would not hestitate to recommend them to everyone I know. This is the where I purchase all my skin care products as well. Love my new glasses!!

I had a very good experience with Cascade Eye & Skin. The doctors were knowledgeable and professional. I will keep coming back.
Doctor could not find the problem after 2 visits and several tests
by AJ , 02/24/2010
I have been to this clinic twice a total waste of my time. Both times I have been tested and the doctor here doesnt seem to know what is wrong with me even though I took 101 tests.Thedoctor here is definatley discrimanant and unprofessional. I told him I had blurryness sometimes he couldnt even correct that problem. And the wait time for the visit was long over 20 minutes even when it didnt seem busy. This place is only for reading glasses. Bad people.
