Being a Tennessee transplant, I'm always on the lookout for food that reminds me a bit of home. This is one of the only restaurants in the area that really makes me less homesick. I could eat my weight in their pulled pork BBQ sandwiches and fried okra! The vinegar-based BBQ sauce is simply phenomenal - I'd buy it by the gallon if they sold it that way!

I spent a few Years in Southern Georgia, where I got a taste of REAL BBQ. I have been searching for that same southern taste for years. I finally found it. Don't get me wrong, we have some pretty good BBQ places here. Texas BBQ, Armadillo, Teddy Bear, and don't forget Dixies. They are all nice places to go eat meat, but the Carolina Kitchen just does it right. The Chicken has a smkoey flavor that is smooth and hovers in your mouth as you eat it. A pork sandwich dripping with the vinegar sauce is nothing short of heaven. There BBQ is absolutely mouth watering, but that is only part of the feast. Sadly, I haven't been able to get beyond their fried Okra and Jallepeno hush puppies. I know that if those sides taste as amazing as they do, then the other things have to be even better, I just can't bring myself to branch out. A for flavor B for price, B for service, (my drinks went dry a few times and they were a tad slow.) Overall, it is amazing.I can't just drive by now.
