Capistrano Unified School District is located in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. It was founded in 1965 and is one of the largest employs in South Orange County in California. The school district provides education to more than 50,000 students, including elementary, middle and high schools, and four special centers. The district offers various programs, such as instructional, international baccalaureate, language, licensed preschool and special education, including speech therapy services and part-time instruction in the resource specialist program. It also includes school readiness, kindergarten, visual and performing arts, accelerated academic achievement program, summer school programs, and physical and health education. It publishes CUSD Quarterly four times a year for the community members served by the school district.
